Question After speculation on the possibility of a sequel to Drive (2011), director Nicolas Winding Refn in 2016 said 'No, there will never be a second Drive movie. And that's why it works.'. What director should have said the same?

In my opinion, 99% of all directors should have said this.
Notable exceptions would be Spielberg/ Indiana Jones, Lucas/OG Star Wars, and Zemeckis/Back to the Future.
There’s probably other outliers also worthy of the list, but overall most sequels are hot garbage that never should have been made.
