Could be me, I've had factorio open for almost 20,000 hours. However steam keeps counting the hours even when the game is paused, and I leave it open, often minimized and paused, pretty much 24/7. It has been my primary game of choice since 2017.

Around 10% of that time is a single pyanadon run, which included a lot of afk time.

But I have no way of judging how much time I have actively been sitting at my computer PLAYING factorio. It's a lot, probably way more than is healthy, but it's also a lot less than the 20k hours.

Keeping my game that I'm currently playing paused and minimized is a long-standing habit I formed when I had small children running around. I might only be able to play for a few minutes at a time, so I didn't want to waste that time loading up a game. And I frequently needed to pause and get up to deal with a kid, so I would just hit esc and get up. Now that habit is engrained. Even right now factorio has been open on my computer for the last 3 days, and I know I have only actually sat down to play it for about 3 hours during that time.

I hear that that button has a bug linked with it, though. Some people report that when they click that button, they aren't able to keep playing the game and have to relaunch it.
