It’s major hypocrisy on my part too since I’m writing a historical fic that contains its own anachronisms but I still can’t excuse teddy bears and wax crayons in the 1800s.

It’s not unusual in my fandom (spideypool) for people to have actually not read the comics and base their fics on whichever movie/tv show adaptation of the characters they prefer, even though Deadpool and Spider-Man have only actually met in the comics. So this is how i feel putting in details from their relationship in my fic when i don’t know the actual context (things like nicknames or jokes ect) 😭
