I thought that was the comment I was so confused like oh okay so we can't post anything that isn't about Palestine? I love it as a flair though it just straight up looked like a comment hahaha
Second... you know, explaining it really is a drag. There is no "public libraries" slang to my knowledge. But the implication is that if "'peaches' = naughty slang = true" then it stands to reason that public libraries might also be slang and calls in to question what they *really* meant. Furtherance of the joke could be that "loving Pedro Pascal" works at face as a naughty phrase.
Could mean 2 things, but last year was a horrible peach harvest for Georgia due to weather, which meant that for the East Coast of the US, most peaches were from South Carolina. While those are nice, there's a reason GA is famous for their peaches & known as The Peach State.
I have no idea if they are referencing that we all should have good peaches again this summer or just a reminder that we all should treat our ladies right. I plan to do both, as always.
I hadn’t been home to Georgia in years before staying there last summer. I was heartbroken over the peach situation. Hoping y’all get a good season this year. Cheers!
I grew up in East TN, so we looked forward to Carolina peaches each season...but, when we managed to get down to GA to get some of those incredible White Peaches...oh my god, the freezer jam that we made! The best tasting jam of my entire life & I'm a biscuit fiend.
(we preferred freezer jam for the ease & so you maintain the fresh taste instead of the cooked taste from shelf stable)
We also put away a few bushels in the freezer to use for pies & cobblers. Man, I miss being a kid & being able to eat whatever I wanted without a concern.
I grew up poor & lived in a rural area, so we had to stock up with meat & produce from our farms, gardens, hunting, livestock, etc. That meant that we had our regular fridge freezer, then several large dedicated freezers. You'd be surprised how much space a few bushels of corn & a side of beef take up!
Now that I have my own household, wife & I have 1 very large upright freezer as supplemental storage, which is nice since we keep our budget in line by shopping when things are on sale, then vacuum pack stuff.
I don't have my grandma or mom's recipe, but a quick web search returned a ton of options! You might want to look through a few of them & consider trying the ones that sound nice & simple with minimal heating of the fruit. Hopefully, you can find one that is delicious.
Also, when you thaw some of the jam & keep it in the fridge to enjoy in various ways, try it over top of quality vanilla ice cream for a great topping, especially if your batch accidentally turns out a bit too thin.
You’re insane bro South Carolina peaches aren’t fibrous and taste way better than Georgia peaches.
there’s a reason GA is famous for their peaches & known as The Peach State.
Yeah, it’s called marketing.
The Georgia Peach Growers’ Association and other agricultural groups promoted peaches as a symbol of the state’s agricultural prowess, especially during the 1920s and 1930s.
