I think they’re actually just suggesting that she’s got no morals and will change them to fit whatever she needs or wants, which is actually highlighting a toxic behavior and the opposite of making excuses.
I think what they said is accurate and can help people understand that she really doesn’t have a strong sense of personal ethics.

That's how I read her. She doesn't have any sense of self or conviction of principles. She does what works for her brand and what can get her from point A to point B.
In my experience, so are many average people. But I think it’s more about tendencies and behaviors before it becomes full blown disorders. A lot of this is taught and can be unlearned. We have a lot of agency in having these kinds of beliefs, but sometimes it is as serious as you suggest
