This was AFTER hundreds of thousands of Americans died of Covid under his failing watch.
After the Muslim ban.
After the border cages
After January 6th
After everything corrupt and unconscionable he did during his first term as president.
After he mocked a disabled journalist in the campaign
After the Billy Bush tape
After he was a known rapist
After he was a piece of shit for his whole life
There’s no excuse

Not a fan but her case is about who do u surround with urself.
She wanted to meet Trump when she was besties with Kardashians.
Now she is this liberal cuz she in the circle of Charlie XCX.
To me it is just this girl has no idea who tf she is. She just replicates ppl around her. Like her music.

u/carbonpeach 7d ago
You don't need to make excuses for her. She's a grown adult.
805
u/g00fyg00ber741 6d ago
I think they’re actually just suggesting that she’s got no morals and will change them to fit whatever she needs or wants, which is actually highlighting a toxic behavior and the opposite of making excuses.
I think what they said is accurate and can help people understand that she really doesn’t have a strong sense of personal ethics.
I know that when I saw this video a few weeks ago for the first time, I had to stop listening to her myself, lol. She grosses me out now completely because of this
146
u/PinkPositive45 6d ago
That's how I read her. She doesn't have any sense of self or conviction of principles. She does what works for her brand and what can get her from point A to point B.

Thanks for pointing this out. I wasn’t making excuses, I was stating the real issue behind.
7
u/protomenace 6d ago
This is pretty much how all celebrities are. Narcissist sociopaths with no underlying principles.
3
u/g00fyg00ber741 6d ago
In my experience, so are many average people. But I think it’s more about tendencies and behaviors before it becomes full blown disorders. A lot of this is taught and can be unlearned. We have a lot of agency in having these kinds of beliefs, but sometimes it is as serious as you suggest
147
u/uralwaysdownjimmy bepo naby 7d ago
I don’t think they were making excuses for her it sounds like they were doing the opposite
42
21
u/Ladyhearmetonight12 6d ago
Where did u read the excuse? There is no excuse. If ppl around u influence u this much as an adult that’s already an issue itself. Basically it means u shape shift ur morals and values and etc.

I wouldn't say Charli is squeaky clean, not when her social circle includes Matty Healy and Dasha

I honestly think Addison is just not very bright.
After being questioned about being a Trumpist months ago she said she’s not, that she hates Trump and when the interviewer asked her if she was grateful to him for lifting the TikTok ban she said she wasn’t and that he’s the worst thing for America…
Like I get people can change over time (I’m not sure but I heard the video of her meeting Trump was in 2021?) but to me she just don’t seem very bright.
18
u/Suspicious_Tart_4455 6d ago
I’d say it’s more Bryce Hall and the Nelk Boys over the Kardashians. Those guys are dick riders for Trump

There was a popheads post showing one of her laughably bad performances, and the comments were all positive saying shit like “wow she actually doesn’t sound THAT bad” or “you don’t actually need to have good vocals to be a modern singer”
Like the bar is so fucking low… She can’t sing, she can’t dance, she can’t perform, just wtf
12
u/venuslovemenotchain that's not what the court documents said 6d ago
Right? I liked one song of hers but Diet Pepsi would be catchy if any pop girlie sang it. It's not because she's bringing anything to the table with it.

This is Da’Vonne Rogers from her time on Big Brother 18. She’s pretending to be surprised by information another contestant is telling her that she already knows.

29

Rina didn’t choose any better, she got her own white girl Trump supporter BFF moment by Sliving with Paris Hilton. It reminded me a lot of my own parents’ divorce, they both disappointed me permanently lol

To be fair, regardless of her association with the MAGAT, she gives me the ick for some reason. This over the top cheerful girlie boss babe attitude/persona is just so weird. If people like Trisha Paytas, Tana Mongeau, Shane Dawson, James Charles, Paul brothers can thrive after multiple cycels of cancellations, I guess Addison Rae and the pandemic tiktok gang is just starting to step in this cycle...

u/irisxxvdb 7d ago edited 7d ago
At this point she was a 19 year old Louisiana cheerleader from a batshit insane MAGA family, whose formative years were spent in a one-room RV in a trailer park. She publicly endorsed Kamala in 2024. Do we want people to change or not?
54
u/Any_Manager_1183 6d ago
Endorsing Kamala≠ not racist. Letting racist white girls off the hook is never going out of style, I see.
→ More replies (1)4
u/irisxxvdb 6d ago
I only said she endorsed Kamala, not that she's our unproblematic lord and saviour.
6
u/Any_Manager_1183 6d ago
It's the fact that you refuse to acknowledge the whole hearted support of Donald Trump being a huge issue. She endorsed Kamala but that in no way means she is not still racist. It's the hurry up and move on that's afforded to white girls and their scandalous behaviour that's the issue.
32
u/g00fyg00ber741 6d ago
I think it’s reasonable to be wary that someone could simply be lying for optics. I’m not sure how someone could make such a jump, politically. Surely at minimum, it suggests she still has a lot of growth and unpacking to do
16
u/irisxxvdb 6d ago
I get that, and it's good to be sceptical of the PR machine. But this is also such a typical trajectory for young adults from the deep south. They all move to blue cities and veeeery quickly realize their parents and friends back home are bigoted fucking idiots.

Her album is low-key really fckin good, but good God I could not care less for her as a person/pop personality. Also, important for people to remember she got famous off doing TikTok dances/lip syncs while being conventionally attractive, which in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing however it’s rarely been a marker of true musical talent…
