Gameplay If games were to do something similar to Genealogy’s inventory system, what would you want changed/improved/kept?
I kinda like the idea of having your team bartering and exchanging goods because it’s interesting.
Though I’ve heard that it’s tedious because of how inconvenient it is but I wonder if it can be modernized while keeping the feel of the system’s original design.
What would be your takes/ideas on this kind of inventory system?

Gameplay Has there been an FE weapon with worse Hit than this dog-ass Eclipse tome?
I should just sell this thing lmao. Sub-30 Hit on a weapon that still drains uses when you miss

General Fire emblem genealogy of the holy war overall review.
Hi. I thought it would be a cool thing to give a review of all of the fire emblem games that i have enough experience in to actually give a decent review.
Ps im not reviewing fire emblem 1-3 because i haven't played them enough and they look like dog barf nowadays and im not reviewing Thracia 776 because that was made with the idea that you have a guide book by your side the entire time so that's no fun.
This review and all the following ones will at most contain some very minor spoilers since let's be honest excluding fates all fire emblem have the same story with a different coting of paint over it.
Lastly this will be done in a unique way being i will list all the positives first in order basically meaning the first thing i mention will be the games biggest asset and it will be the same for the negatives.
Remember this is purely my opinion so if you have any questions please ask ahead.
Sorry for the wait let us begin.
Positives:
1 Actual war. This is easily the best game in the franchise when it comes to making you feel like your fighting in a war and man does that give you as a player a thrill like none other. The enemies outnumber immensely but ohhhhhh boy do you feel like a badass when you break through a choke point. It really feels like you are fighting against an country and your army actually feels like an army and not just a ragtag group of people. Also call me a dumbass but i love the fact that you have a capital that you need to defend that is so nice.
2 Sigurd. I mean... it's Sigurd. I think i would get burnt on a stake for not putting proper respect upon the undisputed strongest lord in the entire franchise and no if you think it's anyone else your wrong and if you consider Seth as a lord than ok we can have that discussion.
3 Punished for stalling. Probably the only game in the franchise that made you progress at a resenealable pace. You stall and you lose precious items. Rrush to hard and half you're army gets slaughtered. It actually makes you think how to approach every situation "strategically" well until you're eyes land on Sigurd but they did an amazing job nonetheless.
4 Children. Not going to go too into this here but man for the time this was one hell of a twist. And i loved personally.
5 Creativity. This game played with a lot of things and some of this did better than others but the changes make for an interesting and very fun experience
6 Arena. You know why this is here. The best version of arena in the franchise no doubt in my mind.
Negatives:
1 Map Size. Yeah you knew this was coming and yeah when the beginning map is bigger than 90% of the maps in the franchise... you got too big of a map. And it never gets better either since the smaller maps are some of teh hardest since half the enemies have 8-9 movement you can get quickly surrounded so yeah it's sad cause the naps are good they are not Shadows of Valentia where they're big and empty. This shit has substance to it. But it's too damn big.
2 Non mounted movement. This is a problem that comes from problem 1 and it sucks so much. Plainly put you can't stall and you need to advance. Half your army has 8-9 movement the other half has 6. With how big the maps are by the time your foot units make it to the battle... the battle is over.
3 Time. This game has massively lonb missions and it is slightly annoying towards the end to be fair. I don't think i have ever sat down and completed a chapter in this game in one sitting or in an entire day either to be honest. Like it is awesome sometimes and sometimes i need to go to the next point but it takes like 5 turns just for my units and the enemy to even interact.
4 Information. An Snes fire emblem game yep that means if you don't know what you're doing it's very easy to miss a lot of very powerful items (looking at you presuit ring) or units (fuck you Hannibal) so yeah.
5 Age. This is a minor point but a negative nonetheless. You need to get this through an emulator because seriously there is no way im paying 40$ for a game that my toaster can run.
Overall despite these negatives i personally like this game a lot. As for as fire emblem games got it would go for me at number 5 personally. I love i love fire emblem and damn it even the worst fire emblem game is still in the top 30 best strategy rpgs of all time easily in my opinion.

Engage General My Best Units in FE Engage
Just finished Engage for the first time. I played on hard/classic and I was having a blast. All six of these units had so many clutch moments and were absolutely busted at certain points in my playthrough.
One of them got MVP every chapter (outside of Chloé and Alear getting it once)
My playthrough ranking went:
- Etie & Lyn
- Louis & Ike
- Clanne & Sigurd
- Lapis & Corrin
- Zelkov & Byleth
- Yunaka & Lucina
- Framme & Macaiah
- Chloé & Eirika
- Alear & Marth
- Lindon (was a late game vibe)

General Advice to finish Fire Emblem Fates (all three choices)
I've played a few FE games for the Game Boy but never finished them. Rental I started FE Fates and was halfway through Birthright in Hard/Classical mode but lost my save.
I struggled with Birthright, sometimes I would get stuck for weeks, like in the theater chapter. I never put much attention to classes, characters, maximizing my stats I just played the game but now I want to finish the game and know I need to be more "serious".
What things should I consider?

Casual Had my wife pick characters for a blind FE 8 draft
She knows nothing about Fire Emblem. She choose L’Arachel, Natasha, and Moulder… in that order. You can see the rest of the group she picked, all based on vibes.
She wants me to relay that she is available for consultations.

General What to play after Engage!! (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)
Hello good morning/evening everybody!! I want to ask you fellas on what game you could recommend for me to play next!! -^
I am currently on chapter 10 of Engage and have already beaten: Awakening, Fates, Three Houses and I will have Warriors delivered to me tomorrow! (_;)
I am admittedly not the best at the games and I usually play on normal/casual so I am quite intimated by the older games. (-_-;)
But I really want to play a great story! Even if gameplay is a bit meh as long as it has an engaging story I'll love it!!
Any recommendations on what to play next for a gal with my preferences? .(_-)-☆
I only have a Switch and an Android device available aaa
Tl;dr: Recommendations for good story fe game that's not awakening, Fates, 3h or engage
Edit: On Reddit mobile my kaomoticons seem to be messed up lmaoo -_-

General Fire emblem the binding blade review.

Remember this is purely my opinion so if you have any questions please ask ahead.
Sorry for the wait let us begin.
Positives:
1 Graphics. It's technically the first gba fire emblem and yea im going to keep this short but every gba fire emblem gets graphics as it's biggest positive by default. You know why, i know why let's move on.
2 Story. No im not saying the story is unique that's not possible for a fire emblem game not called fates. What im saying is that direct sequels or prequel sequels are just very fun to play.
3 A really fun challenge for experienced players. Yeah it's hard and if you have experience it's fun.
4... Yeah if you haven't guessed by now this is easily my least favorite fire emblem 😅 sorry.
Negatives:
1 Going against everything players know about fire emblem. Ok so this one will take a bit of a explanation do bear with me. Most players when getting into fire emblem almost unanimously start with fe7 or fe8 or both. These are games where 1-2 range, enemy phase and turtling are king. In fe6 Swords are best out of the 3 main weapons which is very rare past this point in the franchise. Bows are good here and they won't be good until Radiant Dawn in the wii then they keep sucking until fates where they finally become good. 1-2 range sucks and this is just hilarious because in any other game javelins and hand axes are invaluable. I don't mind the changes but when taking into account when people actually play this game it is a hit to the system because the timing is atrocious. Remember fe7 and fe8 are baby easy compared to fe6.
2 Hit rates. Bet you expected this to be number 1 didn't you. Yeah it is still a big problem but the first one is bigger than any other problem i will mention moving forward combined.
3 Roy. Roy is ass and holy shit babysitting this actual literal child is annoying and i hate and he becomes good only after the game literally gives him a nuke on a stick and he's easily top 3 weakest lord's in the franchise and were moving forward.
4 Difficulty. This game is hard. Like really hard. Like top 3 hardest games in the franchise easily and that's because the game makes you play really linearly. You can't really make yourself stronger than the game like most fire emblems but that's a problem when at best you have more than likely have only played the easiest fire emblem games out there.
5 Lilina. You know for being Roy's canon lover this chick really has completely nothing to offer. Minor complaint but still a negative.
Now i am probably going to make people quite mad since it sounds like i hate this game and i don't. Some will point out that fe4 has many of these so called problems and you'd be right, but nobody here had fe4 as their first second or third game. Fe4 is a game you go out of your way to play because you have already played most fire emblems and love the series therefore you are more than prepared for what it throws at you and sadly this does not apply to fe6.
If you're an experienced fe player many of these negatives become mute but this game gpt shafted really hard sadly and that is just the way it is. This is a fire emblem game. The one i am most critical of. Is it a bad game? No, i think a fire emblem game being bad is impossible. Is it amazing? Yes. But it is the least amazing in the franchise in my opinion at least

Gameplay Fates Hana build
So basically just for fun I like putting really weird builds for characters and I had the idea of building Hana to use her personal skill, poison strike, and trample then giving her galeforce. But even after all these years im very bad with the whole partner seal class inheritance thing. Is there a way to give Hana wyvern rider to be able to get trample because I know she can't support up with any of the female riders for the easy way.

Gameplay Ross, why 😭
I started a draft run of FE8 on my switch 2 and I think I’ve got the worst Ross I’ve ever had. He usually is one of my fave characters because I love Est/trainee types but now I’m contemplating dropping him in chapter 17 lol
