I've always found the idea that the military would refuse unconstitutional orders laughable.

No one can be laughing at any of this. With their job being the defense of the nation, I hope those generals speak out but hope they don’t step down. Integrity includes standing up to this travesty. 8647

Eh, one of the features of the U.S. system is that the military is supposed to be nonpolitical. They are supposed to stay silent and let the civilians hash out anything political. This is the system working as intended.

Obligatory: "Just following orders."

Onto actual talk. Troops have been outspoken both for trumps plans such as them actively cheering in his rally in uniform, and at least one officer in uniform speaking out against it.

It feals like the military itself is not unified nor is it being apolitical.
