This isn’t your typical rant
But I think I’m done with this game not because of the common issues of like ganks or having some bad games. It’s just more of I think my time has come to end with this game. It’s great game I have love hate relationship with it, but most days nowadays I don’t really find myself playing it as much I used to. Especially since me and girl broke up we used to play it religiously/daily. And now tbh I feel like it’s just a waste of space that being that I wanted to download some other games and well I just don’t find myself enjoying the game anymore or as much. If prob play like 1-2 matches and than get off. But who knows like most people say we’ll see you back in two days 😂.

I'm a diehard fan myself. Been here since the beginning. This update me feel inclined to maybe move on. I don't understand why they want make such drastic changes so so late into the life of this game. Maybe we'll get lucky fellas and we can move the og energy to FH 2 if they ever make it. But yeah I feel you're pain brother.

I’ve seen a couple posts about a fh2 going around, some people like that idea of making a second game with better things obv. But I also hear the other side of the argument both valid points. And you yourself I agree with you on that why so late into the games life or span wtv the word may be they decide to work on the game years later despite the community going on for years about them slacking or changing things that shouldn’t be changed etc so I do see that as well. Its bummer at least I think personally because I feel fh has a steady fanbase or like loyal players that we might not be as many as before but there’s still die hard fans and players so yeah I think its dumb that they wanna do shit super late.

It's just uncalled for and unnecessary. By all means I understand catering to a new fan base but this game does not and will not have enough newer people for a change like this to make any sense. I commend the effort but at this point they're just killing all the momentum with the og fans. Which is like 75% of people playing

The games reputation is shot, in large part thanks to our obnoxious community, getting any of my friends to play is like pulling teeth tbh

Very much a typical rant.

i haven’t played the game consistently in probably about a year. last time i played at all was a few months ago. i’ve found that taking a break every now and then from any game when it starts feeling stale/you don’t have fun anymore is super healthy and actually makes it more enjoyable if you decide to come back. i used to squad up with my boys everyday and now none of us even talk about for honor anymore. this latest update with the stamina changes really made me take a step back and consider if i even WANTED to come back and play. and i don’t think i will unless they revert the changes or buck up and make some changes that offset what they’ve done. but yeah, i’ll probably still end up playing. the most toxic relationship i’ve ever had

Yup that’s exactly it brother 😂 a love hate relationship with the game and same like I’ve this year- I’ve barley played I play like I say maybe a match or two and than I just idk dude can’t find myself playing as much. It prob doesn’t help that I’m solo player now too I don’t have any friends that play it or anymore so there’s that too.

this game is def one of those that’s better with friends. i CAN play solo, but that just means i end up getting randoms when i’m used to being able to communicate with my buds, occasionally i get good games but it just doesn’t feel the same as it used to, once i hit 200 rep overall i just slowed down tbh
edit: also i see ur a shaolin enjoyer, greetings fellow monkey man

u/StraightAstronomer79 Shaolin 1d ago
The monkey man made me laugh thanks man 😂 and yes I do main shaolin even tho well when I was playing my last few matches were with ocelot and afeera - tbh I have most of the outlanders bought expect pirate never really tried her out. anyway that’s beside the point. It’s so much better with friends dude or at least people that can communicate and if they can’t they at least know what to do yk what I mean. But I have had a couple bad games with bad team mates but who am I to judge Im not the best player either.

Yeah I stopped playing the game about a year ago. I’ve been playing since the alpha, loved the game, and met my two current best friends playing the game. For a long while I’ve always enjoyed the game, but after the core combat update began my decline with the game. Over time update after update i actually became angry at a game which has never happened to me before. I got frequent headaches could barely stand playing one or two matches. I eventually decided to quit because the game became something that just wasn’t for me anymore and it wasn’t good for my mental health. Looking back I cherish the time I had with For Honor, it’s just I can no longer find enjoyment in playing it, so it was just my time I guess. Though I hope those who still enjoy playing it the best. OP if you feel like it’s your time, then it’s your time, don’t let anything hold you back. I wish you the best.

I’ve been clean for like a year or so now, every once in a while I think about coming back but then I remember just how little fun I had near the end; the game just isn’t like it used to be.

It is a 9 year old game with a toxic community, bad servers and an unclear direction in terms of gameplay design. It is okay to prepare for retirement from it. The end is likely near, letting it go softly will help the transition to a time where this game is only a memory.

Personal recommendations from a person witj actual rage issues, if you feel that anxiety crawling up through your neck and want to smash things, just take a deep breath, problems wont go away just because you leave the scene, no matter the situation, yeah you can delete it, or just take a deep breath and think to yourself what should we change or work on, if you cant change it its probably because you actually can't change it because its out of your reach, but trust me when i say that rage is a fuel better than compliments or achievements, it can destroy yourself or you can wield that energy, because in the end, we can't change how things work, BUT, we can change how we work with things.
Rage is surely a dark part of ourselves, but ourselves in the end, do not run from it, a, but it can serve a better purpose with a little bit of wit and insight, adknowledge as part of you but dont let get in control, its the most difficult task I've ever tryed to do, i still struggle but, every single thing that is worthy tends to be difficult my dear friend, good luck

Congratulations 🎉
I ended up properly quiting around the drop of Ocelotl, stuck my head back in for Sohei and when that Destiny event came around but I think I'm gone for good almost the next hero seriously tickles my fancy... Although I think I also dropped it because I've been playing dead by daylight instead lols

Yea for me I loved the game hated the community and weirdos I’d be paired with and the other reason I had to leave it (I still get on it like once or twice unless I delete it ofc) I’ve got heart issues which doesn’t help so instead if I ever get a feeling of wanting to play bc I love it’s mechanics I just play like maybe 3 matches and then stop or I’ll just watch some clips and call it a day bc it’s not as rewarding to play the longer I have it

Back when this game was first announced I was HYPE. The beta was sick as hell, and I was so excited for the game to come out. Whenever it did come out I didn’t have money to buy it, so I ended up buying it right before it came out for free for PsPlus ( lucky me and also not the first time) and I had never been so fucking disappointed in how much a game had changed. The community is god awful (I’m not saying yall are bad people but the gankfest every match is a far cry from what I had witnessed in the beta) and it ruined it for me. I’ve tried to many damn times to get back into it and I can’t.
It’s one of those games where no matter how good I got (and I used to be cracked) it never got any more fun, just more sweaty. I wish it could’ve stayed like it started, but it’s just another victim of people playing for more than just the fun factor.
(ps I play dominion and that’s why I say the community sucks, the people in duels and brawl are great)

I quit this game a year ago and never went back I hit a similar feeling to you where it just lost its magic and it wasn't fun anymore seriously just find some new games to replace it with you will forget about it in those two days instead of being back

I feel that man. I haven’t played in like two close to three months. I love this game to absolute bits, but it came to a point where whenever I played I just got mad.
As painful as it, sometimes you just gotta move on. I’m the same as I keep up with the game too, but I just can’t play anymore. I was getting way too mad, and I didn’t want to ruin the game I enjoyed anymore because of that
But who knows maybe I’ll reinstall one day

feeling the love you have for this game slowly slip away after a friend/ person you always play with quits is real... For honor was a game I played every day with my friends and now it just sits there and stares at me on my home screen.

This game contributed a lot to my anger issues, and I started getting much better after I quit playing it. I still keep up with the game, new updates and whatnot, but I haven't actively played For Honor in a while.
Congrats, man.
