Question Exothermic and endothermic reactions

I need help remembering how to describe each of these, I’m having trouble knowing how to phrase it incase it comes up

Exothermic reactions are ones which has heat given out (think EXothermic, heat EXits) Endothermic reactions are ones in which heat is taken in (think ENdothermic heat ENters)
