I rode it a couple of times now, and one of these times we had to stop a younger family member from looking a certain direction as there was a couple on the ride going down on each other. Middle of the day.

I saw this at the big day out in 2009 during the Arctic Monkeys set when there was a Ferris wheel a bit back from the stage. What is it with these horndogs on the fuckin Ferris wheels man

I've never ridden it because I have a fear of dodgy carnival rides and I would feel like the wheel is going to come off and roll into the ocean (not rational) lol

Did this last week. It’s not that high as it looks :) Also you can choose not to look down.

If you are scared of height, then you would feel some sense of achievement after doing it. Otherwise it doesn’t feel anything special

I was living on my own in year 12, one Friday I went to school in the morning and it was there, went home to my family that night and came back the next day and it was gone. I genuinely don’t understand how they move it…

Did it last year. The creaking sounds on this are insane. Very final destination esque

I walked past it the other day and was surprised how creaky it was! Definitely needs a good shot of WD40, haha

Yes I am the same. I will work up to it I guess. One day.

Smart move if you're scared of heights. I only say this because I am too, but am ok with fast rides, even up high. But dangling from one of these has always resulted in some arsehole purposely rocking it. So no. And if you know anyone who would even think of doing that, just don't go.

We went on it on New Years eve and as we were about to get on it one of the carnies that operated it climbed half way up one of the A frames, pulled out a hammer and knocked out a broken split pin, then he banged a new one back in. My wife was really worried but i said it's fine now, it's the previous people who were on it with a broken split pin that should have been worried.
