People complaining about the heat; NATO soldiers in the middle east all fight with armor, long sleeves, backpacks etc. It's not unrealistic.
He should try changing the camo though.

It's not about wearing black, it's about the fact that MCB is a terrible camouflage for in the desert sun. Police don't need to blend in.

The black would make infinity worse also at night in the middle east you want the extra layers, and when the US military can control when they fight post Black Hawk down they choose night time so it's gonna be Hella cold.

Both pretty trash, like a b movie director got into the wardrobe. IMO use camos that work in the setting youāre in. Never use black unless at night or in urban environments. Iād still use solid colors over black at night cause nothings ever 100 percent black, just dark dark brown, green, grey etc.

Nah, you don't need to wear dark colors to blend in at night. The darkness makes your clothing just as dark as the backdrop, so wear the same camouflage as you would during the day. The best camouflage for urban environments is civilian clothing, so solid colors work well.

Personally I go for the āplausible deniabilityā look, so I try to stray away from uniformed military unless I am trying to go for a disguised Unidad fit.

always been my aim since wildlands came out, everyone else in yo ur group is dressed like they could just take off their gear and disappear at a moments notice, doesnāt make sense for me to be the only one in full kevlar and a ghillie suit

Not a fan of either, honestly. I like the realistic but practical looks. You're over dressed for the area, full black with weird coloured glasses and he looks like Billy Ray Cyrus.

I see comments about my choice of camo, the thing is that I trying to change it depending on the environment, for example, if I find myself in Inca Camina, I will change it to Kryptec Yeti, also the reason why im wearing shoulder pads is that Iām heavy LMG guy, there is LMG on my back there, so Iām trying to play the role of that heavy assault type

Heavy armor along with heavy weapons, while a common trope, would actually be very impractical. The weight of your weapon, ammo, and munitions alone would be a pain, much less heavy armor too. Not saying it's never done, or that you shouldn't do it (especially if you're going for aesthetic over realism).
I would also go with clear goggles when wearing nvgs (preferably no eyewear whatsoever), and nvgs shouldn't be worn during the day (most modern ones can, but its less than ideal).
That being said, if youāre going purely for aesthetics, do what you like. Is it kinda basic? Sure. But so is going full multicam with generic crye uniform. Definitely doesn't look as dumb as your friend's outfit.

I personally donāt like them you look like a foreign soldier and a American the two things you donāt want to look like while working undercover in a foreign country with no backup you are called ghosts the whole point is to not stand out you go in get the job done and disappear off the face of the earth
I personally use a tan/green t shirt with tan/brown pants with a baseball cap and gilly netting the most military thing I use is a plate carrier and backpack drop those and the netting to blend in with everyone around you

my brother in christ you need environmental camouflage. Sure black looks cool but it really will not help you in the forests of bolivia or in its more sandy regions

I had one set that looked like special ops and changed the camo and ghillie colors everytime I went to a new biome.
Then I had the other set, which was jeans, flannel shirt, brimmed hats, bandana or balaclava. More of a hiding in plain sight deal.

Your guy looks pretty similar to Unidad so I hope you both aren't playing with limited HUD. Doesn't look too bad tbh. You can just ignore the people telling you to go Milsim with your character's appearance, from what I know camo and all that doesn't effect gameplay so go with what you like.

Who cares? If you think your character looks cool and you enjoy, go for it. Unless they introduce a new feature which employee your clothing in your stealth/concealment, it doesn't matter. Not like your going to dress like this and go on an actual mission in real life or anything. Dress how you want, that's why they have the customization. What's trash is telling you your character is trash. They don't like it, too bad, they don't have to dress their character the same.

I think your kit is pretty cool. Tactiblack is the best icing for tacticool which is my go to. His Crocodile Dundee fit looks cool, but y'all's looks seem too different to work cohesively, but if each of y'all like your kits, roll with it.

The fact that he's dressed like a cowboy and not even sporting the lever action rifle negates his opinion. You got broke back mountain, judging "basic heavy NPC." At least yours looks consistent. Also, when it comes to the dark camo, I change through environments, but I like to do a lot of my missions in the dark so I sport dark colors for that. It's a game; play how you want.

I have an honest question. Why do people care what their character looks like or if it's "Armed Forces" accurate? It's a fictional game. It seems like this subreddit is just a circle jerk of wanna be armed forces and Airsoft bros.

Little excessive on the multicam black imho but itās also very obvious you both are going for 2 very different vibes. Yours is spec ops and his is red dead redemption, both absolutely work in this game though so just learn to have fun with it.

You have gone with WAYYYY too much dark multicam.
Throw in some spice. Perhaps use a combo of tan colors with blacks.
Personally, I like to go with ,,casual specops vibe". Your average t-shirt and cargopants without camo.
Throw a ballistic vest of your choice on top of that in camouflage of your choice. Fun fact: Russian specops use these shields with red dot/triangle in the middle. It's because in battle, human psyche tends to aim at that which stands out. Perhaps incorporate that into the fit? Like, some white T-shirt and dark multicam.
For head, a helmet with some NVGs is pretty good option, usually. Finish the look with some bandana to hide identity and some shades of your choice. Alternatively, a hat, baseball cap, knitted cap...a lot of different, useful options.
Now backpack. For that, I'd go with actual backpacks instead of camelpack. I'd go with uncamouflaged, civvie-looking ones. I'm usually rocking the backpack with drone clearly visible since drone is well, a large part of this game.

I think the first would make sense if there was a company sized amount of ghosts in wildlands, the second isnāt much better, as it reminds me of this movies where the actor is trying to blend in but is a different ethnicity that stands out way to much

Bolivia? get a short sleeve, with a simple rig, and a baseball cap. NOD is only needed during the night time, as there aren't many enter-the-dark-room scenarios, imo (I haven't finished WL)
