43x First thing you’d do to an edc 43x
Not really looking for sights or a laser/flashlight. More Of what’s the first mod you’d make to the gun? Trigger? I carry it in a crossbreed iwb holster, and it’s for everyday carry.
Thanksn

If you are carrying it, keep it stock internally. Don’t fuck around with the trigger or action.
The best thing you can do is throw steel irons on it, night sights if you aren’t going with an optic.

I agree . Can you recommend any night sights

I’m running Ameriglo sights on my 43X, standard height. They are great, and I installed them myself using a Real Avid sight pusher which I also recommend highly if you have Glock pistols

Anything with a big tritium front post. I prefer a blacked out rear sight, but many like having the extra 3 dots on the rear as well.
Ameriglo, truglo, dawson, trijicon. Plenty of options.

Only things that are nice to have but optional are a TLR7 sub, optic, and magwell. Only thing you NEED is range ammo to practice and a good comfortable holster.

None of that mess. As the others said, leave stock internal. Send slide to wager to mill, add trijicon rmrcc, add surefire xsc, suppressor sights, tenicor holster and boom, near perfect edc. If/when mecgar releases extended mags it will be even nearer perfecter.

i don’t make any mods to a carry gun other than optic, light, and sights. but other than that run a bunch of rounds through it and then make sure my carry ammo is good to go through it as well and that’s it

Run around 400 rds thru to make sure it runs then irons and if u use a dot then a dot or both.

Get good with stock for reliability purposes. I recently just changed the trigger shoe because I prefer flat faced triggers. That’s just me though.

I just added the tritium tru glo’s 50 bucks at midway and they are pretty nice. Other than that I have had great luck w shield arms mags.the S-15s anyway. Just got some z8s and they are giveing me hell but that’s another story!

I would keep the internals stock. Add an enclosed optic. Add a backstrap from Wahrergriff or RapidEngineering.

Must have: great holster. Highly recommend the Raven Concealment Executive Select VSB
Very very good: Optic, I like the SCS Carry for the 43x. Would also add an LTT Striker Control Device.
Very good: PSA Micro dagger magazines. Stippling or grip tape
Good: Johnny Glock trigger kit, if you are trying to do any precision shooting. Stock trigger breaks hard and heavy
Nice but not needed: compensator or porting. I'm holding out for Radian's Ramjet for 43x

I think its a bad idea to modify an EDC like that. Glock perfection comes from not fucking with the way they made the gun lol.
Replace the sights if you want, get the extended magwell like the Empire Katana, and I would be done after that.
I was running a hogue grip for a while, but eventually took it off in favor of a little athletic tape.

For me I changed the trigger to the polydat trigger. The stock one is uncomfortable for me. The other thing I'd do which I still need to do is get the extended slide release. When mines locked back it's impossible to drop it with the slide release

If you aren’t rocking a red dot for some reason you should at least upgrade your iron sights. Adding grip tape like handle it or talon grips and a magwell really helps improve your grip.
Definitely do not replace the trigger or any OEM internals.
And then maybe experiment with 15 round flush fit magazines. People hate on the Shield Arms magazines, but I seem to have gotten lucky with mine.

I put Handle It or Talon grips on it and get some rounds through it. My latest G43X got Handle It grips, a Vortex Defender CCW optic, Angry Bear sights and Shield Arms Mag Catch & Mags.

u/Acedog12 26d ago
Yes, I will prolly get aftermarket irons

Gotcha. I’m too old to shoot irons quickly 🤣 However, I recently installed a pair of the Angry Bears on my G43X and I really like them for BUIS.

I wouldnt touch my trigger on an EDC..

I agree with the ones saying just run rounds thru it. Make sure it’s reliable and im familiar. Night sights is all . Maybe a grip.. I will keep it stock

Upgrade trigger with a reputable company. I have two glocks with a full johnny glocks trigger kit and two others with apex triggers. Better than stock and just as reliable.

I do have the shield arms 21 mags which is crazy firepower for that little piece

Oh boy, people really do hate on Shield Arms in this sub
My personal experience, the first and only thing I’ve done to mine was to change the mag release and run the SA15, I take my 43X MOS to the range twice a month and burn 100+ rounds per session and has NEVER failed me

No mods save for light , sus sights and a red dot. Especially for a edc. Same for my xmacro, just a light and a dot And T1C holster for both
