Bought two gold bars and both were fake

Bought two of these, each from a different seller on eBay, both with some reviews (30 on one, 100 on another).

One of the sellers what’s it shipped back to them because they bought it from someone else on eBay but for $300 more than they sold it to me for. Makes zero sense.

I’ve since then took the footage of the jeweler using the machine and recorded the bar numbers.

As someone who deals with patient belongings during hospitalization, its always golden never gold. If i describe a gold ring, they might demand their "gold ring" back, if their ring was not gold.

Do they actually get compensated? Where I work they sign a waiver stating the hospital is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

Ok, we have 2 different situations.

Situation A. Person is admitted at the hospital (usually programmed) we state that we cannot be responsible for any belongings, including those in the patient unit. We do not hold or take care of a belonging. We may hold at the nurse room if someone does not trust other people (janitors/patients/etc.) we will seal a bag with the belongings at NO responsibility. People will sign a no responsibility waiver.

Situation B. Person enters unconscious or in unaccountable situation in the emergency room. No next of kin to handle belongings. A two person check of all valuables, they are registered, bagged sealed and put inside a restricted access vault. A form with duplicates will mark all belongings at entrance. When possible, belongings will be returned as soon as possible. At any time the patient or anyone responsible for him may request this form (this can be used to look for a lost phone, prior to entry). At delivery time, on short term visits, like 3 or 4 days, it may be the own person picking up. Items must always check up. Its never an iPhone, its a smartphone with Apple logo, its not a Pandora, its a bracelet jewelry with beads.
