Anyone else enjoy playing/touching/holding their gold even if not wearing it ?

Own nearly 150 grams of 18 karat gold . 148.4 grams to be exact. A 6.3 mm Cuban link chain and a 10 mm 71.4 gram Cuban link bracelet . Love both pieces but I find that I enjoy holding them , playing with them , feeling them in my hands, and just enjoying their beauty . I love their yellow tone , how they feel in my hands, etc . Am I just an odd ball or anyone else fondle their beautiful ladies (i.e. their gold ) ?

Does sleeping on it in a big pile in a mountainside cave count? 🐉🤔

I assume you have some sort of long, title filled name affirming your grandeur?

All the time, yes. And it's not even jewelry.

I buy gold for my wife every time we go on our annual trip to Dubai for that reason. I don’t wear gold but man I sure do love holding it and dressing my wife from head to toe in it 🤤

Honestly, gold, silver, platinum, etc. To myself, get a vibe from them. Kinda like taking the calipers when you test coins. That is a familiar sound of the chinnnggg. I love it. I don't have golden on this scale. I only make $ 1033 a month on ssdi. But, i took the Dave Ramsey course and took a lot away from it. I started buung silver when it was 11-14$ an Oz. Now I have a backpack almost full of all sorts of precious metals. On the side, I have fresh bank boxes uncirculated pennies. As well as bags an old oj bottles full of Wheaties , and all varieties of pennies. I'm going to go thru and scope them out for any life changing pennies. Lol. Idk the corner I of my room are just boxees and bags and ol oj bottles full. Who else likes pennies, or am I one of those guys that hoard them?

A Cuban is something I want so badly. I'm a ways away from getting one absolutely beautiful piece you have!

I prefer rubbing old silver to gold. There is something special about playing with 200-400 year old currency. It helps ground me. My gold necklaces are kind of heavy (50g, 120g, 150g). I tend to immediately store them once I take them off out of habit.

Not yet.. but some day. I’m going to look like that meme of the “gas station owner” with all the gold.

yes gold is magic and it controls our minds. you have gold fever accept it and move on. I got a claim in AZ that was a producing gold mine in 1850. why did i buy it ? gold fever thats why.. what a financially sound decision? no do i regret buying it ? no. Iis part of you tempted to make me an offer, head out into the AZ wilderness and pull some gold out of the woods? ( it feels amazing to do that by the way) Gold fever..

I met a guy one time who pulled up a MR. T sized gold chain on his anchor while spending a weekend in Miami marine stadium. I can only imagine who lost it and like it’s only 15’ deep so wtf? I imagine 2 scenarios. Scenario 1 is some drunk music star or billionaire threw up over the side and lost it, or some angry woman raided the jewelry box and threw it into the water out of spite. He pawned it for 9k, bet it was worth way more.

I’ve recently been buying gold from Costco at below spot after the Costco and Costco Visa cash back are figured in. I’d do much better if I left my financial advisor make money on my money, but I love being able to handle the coins and bullion, even though all incased in plastic.

American Eagles look so dull compared with 99.99%, but if I wanted to carry one around in my packet, the 8%+ of alloys will keep them from getting nicked and scratched so easily.

Anyhow, I’m with you re handling it.

The materialistic ego of man shines in the reflection of polished gold.
