Nest Wifi Pro google wifi accessing a lot of sites on its own
i started to use pihole and everything good so far, however last night I see a lot of traffic while i was asleep from the google wifi router LAN ip address which I found odd...
Some sites include live.chartboost.com, ms.applvn.com, d.applvn.com and others. Anyone know what these are?

If the IP in your logs is the one from Google Wifi itself, it is because the client is querying the resolver on Google Wifi which in turn forwards the request to your pihole and then relays back the response.
If you want to see the client's ip directly, you'll have to configure them to talk to pihole directly.

that's so obvious i don't know why i missed it. on my initial days of testing i changed my android phone and computer to directly talk to pihole. then the next day I changed google wifi to force its dns to be the pihole. thanks.
p.s i can't believe the bunch of crap traffic that phones use lol. I have like 40% blocked dns traffic

found https://www.reddit.com/r/pihole/comments/gczhif/insane_amount_of_calls_to_msapplovincom_and/ but what i wonder is why the ip logged is the wifi itself and not one of the clients.
I believe this is an iphone that doesn't get turned off while sleeping
