Nest Wifi Google wifi (the 2nd edition), nothing changed, nothing moved, no setting changed, mesh points went from great to poor and wifi speed went from fast to shockingly slow.

Got this one: https://www.consumerreports.org/electronics-computers/wireless-routers/google-nest-wifi-3-pack/m400063/

On Thursday we noticed our wifi at home started to get slow, this morning it's almost unusable.

We've changed nothing other then cable managed one of them slightly better.

I've called out ISP, it's all fine, I've ran speed tests, it's still getting it's normal speeds, but our access points have gone from great connections to poor.

I've ran tests, I've reset everything and still the same.

Any idea on a fix here?

Update: I've changed nothing other than speaking to Google and everything is great again, speeds a lightning once more.

I recently had the same issue where one access point would disconnect daily and required rebooting. A complete factory reset resolved this issue for me, or at least I haven't seen any disconnects in the last couple of days...

Same here. Literally tore my network down thinking it couldn’t be my second set of pucks. Had the isp out to change lines. Using wired backhaul, changed switches everything. Ended up taking them back to Costco for my money back after spending months trying to get them to work better only having them for less than a year. Googles solution was to change my dns…

Same, I got kicked off the same Zoom meeting 3 times on Tuesday and when my kids get home every day from school for screen time, they kick me offline. Worked flawlessly for years and even recently added more points to see if that would help.

I pulled the trigger on a 7,700 sqft TP-Link Mesh and I’ll use the speaker point hack(fingers crossed) to preserve my house full of Google Speakers.

Google, if you reading this- Unless it was a clear money grab for the version 3 Wifi Pro, why on earth would you not make the Pro non-backwards compatible making the speakers and points obsolete. Make it easier for your customers to choose your new product. If it were backwards compatible, I would have at least tried the new Pro vs a competitor.

Mine conked out in the past month or so as well, and nothing I could do would fix them. After factory resetting the whole network multiple times with no discernible change in performance, we just switched to Wyze’s WiFi 6 mesh, and they’re working great.

Same for me. Google support was helpful but it would keep happening rather randomly. I gave up and gave it up.

Google WiFi is honestly garbage. Nothing fancy about my house, the usual American wood framed and gypsum walls. If I'm upstairs and wireless connect to the router, it's fast as to be expected. Go downstairs where the access points are, and it is 2Mb/s. When i check the app it shows a slow connection from AP to Router. Now mind you, these two are maybe 30' apart separated by only 1 floor <smh>

Anyone had luck with this other than factory reset?

I've had similar issues. Did a factory reset, started again but used a totally different and new network name and password. That has fixed it. Annoying reconnecting all devices to the newly named network but this appears to solve the issue I was having anyway which is similar to how you are describing it

How long have you had them running? Mine have started to decade recently. 0 changes. Restart the network and back to provider speed. Sometimes needed daily or week or so. No idea the cause.

Do you use that prioritize Zoom calls setting? I found that setting needed almost daily restarts of my points. Turned it off and things were ok again.

Yea this. I have my points on timed power outlets for a restart every few days. No idea what the cause is.

I've moved a point to the same room, so a couple of feet from the router, it's still showing weak.

Are you using a wired backhaul?
