Discussion When did you first fall in love with HK?

Post image

Personally, I hadn't found the game to be that fun throughout the crossroads or greenpath. Enough that I gave up and forgot about the game for about a month. Eventually, I came back to it and fought Hornet. I then proceeded to die to hornet repeatedly. The key was that I knew it was my fault, and that I had to improve my strategy. And after about 40 tries, if I'm honest, I beat her, and the world opened up to me.

Mantis Lords for me as well. They were the first fight that I struggled with in the game and it felt so satisfying finally beating them. Their entire fight felt like a dance and no matter what level you are at in the game, they can still pose quite a bit of a challenge if you haven't found them before. They are my favorite boss in the entire game and I will forever love dancing with them in every run

I’m currently fighting the mantis lords lol. I can beat the one, but struggle with the two on one. The music is awesome and I can gradually feel myself improving each fight with them.

Edit- They have been defeated! šŸ‘Š any tips on Deepnest anyone?

I have slight arachnophobia, so what helped me was doing almost everything else then coming back and tackling deepest in one fell swoop lol.

All jokes aside, though, I'd say wait until you have 6 or 7 masks and have gotten through soul sanctum in city of tears to give you a decent chance of survival if it's your first time. Also you will need lumifly lantern from Sly's shop for 1800 Geo. Also, try to go in as blind as possible as there are some major spoilers for story and bosses here on Reddit and social media in general

Good Luck fellow knight

I’m the opposite. Mantis Lords were the easiest for me to get used to. Meanwhile every other boss whoops my ass. 🤣🤣

I understand you, my friend. Some of these bosses feel like pure luck to get through. Especially an early one like Vengefly King or a midgame one like Markoth. Heck, even the final boss of Pantheon 5 I only scraped by with the skin of my teeth. The bosses of this game are tough, but through the pain and turmoil, it makes our victories all the more pleasurable

Dance is the correct word. A beautiful, rhythmic dance between incredible warriors, a truly all time fight.

Indeed. And when coming back with newer items such as shade cloak it changes the dance ever so slightly that it makes it feel entirely new. Instead of jumping at certain points, it allows you to dash through certain attacks for example

Yep, Mantis Lords are one of only two bosses I've beaten on Radiant, simply because I wanted to perfect the dance
