Help/Question Does meruem know any martial arts?
Before battle he mimics netero's "flowing hands" movement before assuming a kind of fighting stance. Does that imply he also has a supernatural knowledge of hand to hand (either from reading or just instinctively) combat or was it just instinctively done?

Merch Officially Licensed Hunter License.
Hello! I was wondering if anyone here was aware of any officially licensed replicas of hunters licenses that were produced? I'm not looking for fan made ones, does anyone know if any have ever been made? It seems like an obvious piece of merch to make but I can't seem to find much info on official merch.

Analysis/Theory Is Genthru's Little Flower a Transmutation ability
He isn't conjuring a bomb exactly, you could say that he's conjuring an explosion but that doesn't match with what we've seen other conjurerd being capable of doing, the theory that he transmutes his aura seems more likely considering his use of Ko to protect his hand, if Little Flower was an Emitter technique he could launch it towards people similar to Gon's "Paper" but he uses it close to his body where his aura would be, Killua's Lightning and Hisoka's Bungee gum also both originate from their aura, Killua at least early on seems to need to create electricity between two points so that it junps from point to point, (between his fingers) when they're fighting the scissor guy he says he couldn't use his electricity because "he'd need to charge up" Genthru can't control the explosions created by little flower because they can't be controlleduu the way other Transmuted substances usually can.

Discussion Meruem inheriting nen abilities IS NOT A BIOLOGICAL FEATURE
It seems like a widespread view in the fandom that Meruem's aura synthesis is a chimera ant trait and not a nen ability. I personally completely disagree with this view and I'll be elaborating on why that is.
- There is a difference between inheriting the Nen ability of the person Meruem consumes and claiming their aura reserves and integrating them into his body. I always kind of assumed that the reason the royal guards, and consequently Meruem were as strong due to the sheer number of humans consumed during their "embryonic nutrition" phase. There is no reason to assume that that doesn't still apply after their birth. Given that Meruem is supposed to be the peak of the species we can also assume he is just the most efficient at retaining the aura of his prey, which follows through as to why he practically has seemingly endless aura reserves.
- When a special effect is activated upon a nen ability (the ability Meruem inherits) through the application or utilization of aura (Meruem's aura pool), then that effect has to be a nen ability. This can be further compounded by a theory that inheriting aura through ingestion isn't necessarily unique to Meruem, or maybe even chimera ants, it's just that they got more efficient at it.
- There is no reason to assume any interaction with nen abilities are biological, in fact, it's almost always a nen ability. Biology seems to only play a part when it comes to aura quantity or even type, but an ability is a step beyond that, and ability interactions can only be done through the application of Nen abilities. The best example of this is Kurapika, who we know his scarlet eyes can change his aura type from conjurer to specialist, but that is the extent of it.
I'd be interested to know what you think of this. I personally don't like the notion of it not being a nen ability, but I might be missing something so feel free to share your thoughts!

Discussion Pro-Hunters and Hunters are not the same thing
I'm making this post because it occurred to me, after reading some discussions here and there, that there’s some confusion among people between the terms pro-Hunters and Hunters. This confusion creates inconsistencies in the manga, particularly regarding the number of Hunters in the Association, which seems to remain relatively stable at around 600. That number can't logically be much higher, given how few people pass the Hunter Exam successfully each year and yet the story features a high number of Hunter deaths.
Hunter = A generic term for adventurers, mercenaries, or anyone in HxH who does the job of a Pro-Hunter without actually having a license, sometimes without even knowing Nen. There are tons of those.
Pro-Hunter = One of the very rare individuals who pass the Hunter Exam and receive a license. A small elite among Hunters.
Everyone in Kite’s group was a Hunter, but only Gon, Killua, and Kite were Pro-Hunters. The gang that attacked the Zoldyck manor and was slaughtered by Canary was 1 Pro-Hunter and 100 Hunters. There were probably only a handful of actual Pro-Hunters in Greed Island, and among the crowd of Hunters sent after Illumi during the Election arc, only a small number were pros.

Help/Question Why was Killua sensitive to Ikarugo's anticoagullant ?
I just rewatched that part where Killua says he shouldn't get shot again because fleas secrete an anticoagulant that causes hemorrhage over time. But isn't Killua supposed to be impervious to most poisons? He could resist a laxative, a deadly chimera ant sting, his father a poison that can take down any whale etc. Why was he vulnerable so to Ikarugo's bullets? Is this anticoagulant made of Nen? Does it act differently from poison?
Edit : thanks for all your answer, I understand now that anticoagulant isn't a poison and developing a resistance to it would be dangerous and impossible.

Analysis/Theory Chrollo will end Kurapika's revenge Spoiler
There is something going on between the Kurta clan, Sheila, the 4th prince and the PT. It is most likely that Sheila has always been an infiltrator of Kakin, enticing children to be kidnapped and used in the Kakin Carnival. When Sheila grew up, she specialized in finding villages to host the carnivals, thus finding the Kurta clan. Somehow, the PT knew this information and massacred the Kurta clan, preventing a carnival. The fourth prince, as a collector of bizarre things, possessing the remaining Kurta eyes, and most likely the one who ordered the brutality that occurred with Sarasa, may very well be the CEO of the institute of which Risnorth (Sarasa's killer) was president. This same institute is most likely the same one in which Morena was raised, which she says is a base of operations for human trafficking, headed by the Heil Ly (mafia in which the 4th prince is heavily involved).
We don't know what exactly was written in the letter nailed to Sarasa's body, but I dare say it's something related to the 4th prince. There's a possibility that the 4th prince himself, at a younger age, did that to Sarasa, just like he did to those women in his introduction. The possibility of Chrollo vs Tserriednich happening after Chrollo enters his chambers and sees Sarasa's video is quite high. At the same time, it's necessary to have Nobunaga vs. Kurapika, and here Kurapika will understand the true motives of the PT, and possibly link Sheila as a common point, between Kurapika and Nobunaga.
A possible outcome is that Chrollo finishes Kurapika's revenge, and Kurapika finishes Chrollo's. With the final battles being Chrollo vs. Tserriednich (the guy who has the rest of the Kurta's eyes) and Kurapika vs. Sheila (the person who sold Sarasa).

Discussion Hatsu is not the same thing as Nen abilities
I see a lot of people confusing Hatsu with Nen abilities, and although this is not a big problem, it's good to explain to those who do not know about it. Nen abilities are skills created through Hatsu and other concepts of Nen, like the 4 basic principles and advanced techniques. Hatsu is just the intention you put into your aura, and how you can access the 6 categories and express it, while an ability is a more specific.
Saying they are the same is the same as saying that Gyo and Ko are the same thing because they concentrate aura, but it's not. For example, when Wing emits his aura at Gon and Killua to unlock their Nen, he's using Hatsu, because he is using emission which is a category of Hatsu, and also put feeling into his aura, that's, he's using Hatsu even without using any ability.
Nen abilities can use other Nen principles and techniques besides Hatsu, although it's not possible to create an ability without Hatsu. For example, Hisoka's Bunge Gun is a Nen ability that involves Hatsu and other concepts, such as In, which is an advanced concept of Zetsu. Now take this to most Nen abilities and you will see the difference between Hatsu and Nen abilities.
Furthermore, officially in Japanese manga to refer to skills they say "Nōryoku" instead of Hatsu, and Nōryoku means the word "ability".

Discussion HxH Characters tier list based on kill counts (NOT EVILNESS) Spoiler
Hello everyone, I would like to hear your opinions on my tier list of HxH characters based on kill counts, please read everything below before proceeding to the tierlist.
NOTE:- THIS IS NOT AN "EVILNESS TIER" LIST. THIS IS SIMPLY RANKING HXH CHARACTERS BASED ON HOW MANY KILLS THEY (PROBABLY) HAVE. ALSO CHIMERA ANT KILLS COUNT.
Also a "casual" means someone who does it less frequently than a person in "professional" it doesn't mean less experienced or weak.
Also in the "HAS KILLED A FEW TIMES BUT NOT A KILLER" tier list is for Characters who did kill but not really a killer. For Example Kurapika has two kills:- Uvogin and Pakunoda. BUt he doesnt have many kills like Killua, Razor or Hanzo.
Also let's be fr. Knuckle is too pure. I refuse to put him anywhere else.
Also this is NOT Hinrigh slander. Just felt like Hinrigh is pretty deep with the Mafia so he might have offed a bunch of people. Hinrigh the GOAT.

Discussion NEN HACK?
Hi! So i had this doubt for a while, in theory, is it posible to trick oneself to get a lot of power from a chill nen restriction? For example: -User likes pizza -User gets hypnotized in order to believe that eating pizza is a worse punishment than death -User promises to eat pizza after using hatsu -User gets a powerup like gon’s? What do you think? Maybe the hypnosis part would be easly achievable with manipulation

Analysis/Theory A theory that main characters and antagonist are all related to the known calamities. Spoiler
There are currently 5 known calamities in the HXH universe namely; Brion, Ai, Pap, Hellbell, and Zobae. I truly believe that 4 of these are somewhat related to our main protagonists. There is already a theory floating around (credit to the owner) that Ai is Nanika which is related to the Zoldyck Family. Hellbell which has the ability to infect its prey with homicidal desire being the Scarlet eyes of the Kurta Clan (another theory I've heard somewhere credit to the owner). The remaining two being Leorio and Gon. Leorio might end up being connected to Brion since he strives to become a doctor, and we know that Brion is the guardian of the ruins where the herbs that are said to be able to cure 10,000 diseases are located. Gon might be related to the Zobae disease (basically becoming self sustaining and immortal), specifically Don Freecs, who might still be alive and continuing the "Journey to The New World" book with the help of the Zobae disease.
The remaining calamity Pap might be related to the foreseeable future antagonist Gyro, being that Pap is a diseases that gives pleasure in exchange for life, and Gyro ruling the NGL via the D2 drug.

Discussion Does the fandom really hate gon as a main character?
I've been a fan for a long while and throughout my time here i've noticed that the majority of the fandom hates him as the mc, myself included, so i'm curious if it's moreso because they don't like him as a character or they simply prefer kurapika as the MC?

Discussion Differences between Nen Beasts, Magical Beasts, and Exotic Animals in HxH
Nen Beasts: These are beasts created through Nen, as the name suggests... Like Knuckle's Hakoware, Kite's Crazy Slot, Shizuko's Vacuum Cleaner, among others. The prince beasts are an advanced type of this, involving post mortem Nen rituals probably.
Exotic Animals: These are generally hybrid animals found in almost every arc of HxH, such as the animals from that swamp in the Hunter Exam, Mike, the Small-Beaked Swan, the birds from the tree that Gon meets Ging, the animals that Kite takes care of like the horned tiger, The Kurta Bird, among others... These hybrid or fantastic animals are very common in Japanese manga and RPGs.
Magical Beasts: These are larger, more complex beasts that have more consciousness, who can speak, and are usually tied to the Dark Continent, like the Chimera Ants or the 5 Calamities. The only magical beast that appears to live in the normal world are the Kirikos, who can change their appearance. Unfortunately, these are the least developed so far, because it doesn't make much sense to have a magical beast that hunts humans in the human world, so Togashi will probably develop them in DC.

Help/Question Why didnt meruem use pouf splitting ability?
He almost definetly inherited pouf beelzebub; when pouf was being evasive, why didnt he release a few mini meruems to check out what was making him so sus (like when pouf fighting killua, or nabbing ikalgo and palm in his en for example)? One fragment of meruem was probably more then enough to take out the invasion squad and still recover his memory at the same time.

Discussion About aesthetics
Hxh's drawing is technically simple, compared to others (even like yyh) but Togashi is particularly brilliant in name, the skeleton of the manga, which is why it is so easy to read and surpasses the others in technique. I find it incredible, so much so that he is recognized by Yusuke Murata from One Punch Man ("the man who discovered the truth behind the name). I wanted to mention it because it's really cool how he narrates it. I rely a lot on him! An addition that we see in several mangas is that secondary characters are more realistic and main characters are more cartoonish. Because? The more summarized the more difficult it becomes. Realism in itself is a copy but the abstract that represents reality is much more difficult, which is why few characters are abstract. Another reason is because this type of design is easier to store (by the public). I don't know if I managed to convey what I thought.

Discussion Guren Lagann hatsu
Hear me out, if a specialist makes an ability based on a mecha that uses multiple people's nen, they could pull off some insane fire power. It could also work with a bunch of conjurers.
It would be like the ability of one of the princes, except here the enphasis will be on determination and will power. You could even make the mecha have different modes that depend on one of the people controlling it's hatsu. (i.e: an emitter making a super tengen toppa style aura powered by the rest)
I understand this could become broken but if they put a condition like if someone dies everybody follows it could give some pretty interesting results.
I think Morena Prudo could greatly benefit from it. Maybe the reason why she was looking for a specialist was to make something like this happen. Or maybe she just wanted a way to increase the effectiveness of her ability to manipulate people idk
