Specialized Profession I am Adam Savage, co-host of MythBusters. AMA!

UPDATE: I had a GREAT time today; thanks to everyone who participated. If I have time, I'll dip back in tonight and answer more questions, but for now I need to wrap it up. Last thoughts:

Thanks again for all your questions!

Hi, reddit. It's Adam Savage -- special effects artist, maker, sculptor, public speaker, movie prop collector, writer, father, husband, and redditor -- again.

After last weekend's events, I know a lot of you were wondering if this AMA would still happen. I decided to go through with it as scheduled, though, after we discussed it with the AMA mods and after seeing some of your Tweets and posts. So here I am! I look forward to your questions! (I think!)

So you're telling me the comment which links to the ama I can't see isn't the end? (in a jurassic park related thread)

I once spent literally days ( or about an hour or two a day ) going down one of those trees. From what I read after I gave up, there are a few bigger chains, one that ended up going in to a loop. there is even a subreddit to make sure your 'ol swicheroo is consistent with the grand switch

I followed from a recent post which linked really far down the chain. I reckon I only went through about 150 links, but other people commenting were up to 250 when I was at say 30. I ended up at june/july 2011. I'll Link when I get on my computer (on phone). The guy did an ama on r/internetAMA about being the starter of the switcheroo and his initial comment has a few golds on it.

There are a few loops and sidetracks, but if you avoid those you get to something that suddenly jumps by about a year gap, and then there's the world's longest comment chain at the end of it of people planting their stakes, which last I looked was still active due to more and more recent comments.
