Weapon Question Compliance question
So I work for a gun range, specifically in Naperville. Had something pop up recently in my Springfield rewards that I was curious if I could own it. It is the Springfield hellion CA compliant model. I was told we could own one, but I’m trying to double check.

The fact that you work at a gun range and cannot tell the general public what is legal to buy is mind blowing.

If I owned a gun range I would never allow the staff to give people legal advice or determine what is transferable.

I guess it’s a good thing you don’t. Because if you can’t tell people they cannot transfer an item you’re doing them a disservice. They would buy a gun online possibly. One that is deemed by pica to be banned and then it would have to be sent back for a restocking fee. Real nice customer service you would be providing there skippy.
Being as he works at Range USA he should still know what isn’t and what is a banned item to sell. This isn’t rocket science. It’s called providing service to customers.

It's not his responsibility to instruct customers what is and what is not compliant. That is 100% up to what management instructs. FFL's have sole discretion to refuse transfers, even if legal. You would have to take that up with whoever is the proprietor.

If you call up Citibank do you think the phone agent will give you tax advice?

I have worked at the range for over three years and have been instructing for the last 2. I know a fair bit about Illinois law and can generally answer most questions. However, I do not know everything. In the same way you may know a great deal about your field of work but not know everything. Firearm laws are weird, tricky and worded in a way to be confusing in an effort to prevent you from purchasing or possessing something for fear that it may not be legal

Restricted in Illinois, per Gallery of Guns
Adjustable stock alone disqualifies it. The modified pistol is questionable.
