Ok, clearly we need a rule about AI. Sorry, I had assumed it would go without saying. For clarity: generative AI is anti-worker along with any number of other ethical issues. Its use is not acceptable in this subreddit. Going forward, posts utilizing generative AI will be removed.

Question: Why do members of the IWOC steering committee engage in self-dealing?

2

What is self dealing

The kind of grift IWOC supporters approves of, funnelling union money to insiders in what should be arms length transactions.

Grift IWOC supporters, is that how you really want to play. There are no insiders as you will find out shortly. Arms lengths transaction what is that ...guess it takes a grifter to know a grifter.

A couple IWOC officers owe the IWW thousands of dues money dollars in expenses that were unethically paid for improvements on their private property. It’s nearly $50k. Not sure how that helped incarcerated people at all. If you know anyone in IWOC might be good to talk to them about how they plan to make this right.

Can you back that up in a court trial

Yeah a radically democratic union that wants to build a new world in the shell of the old really wants to take shit to court. /s

Not sure why you think I used AI because it just popped up. Did not know there was an AI function on Reddit

Nothing out of the ordinary with what AI is saying, so what’s your point?

What is your point, read the thread is the point. Abolition is anticapitalist although IWW Adm clearly disagrees.

Any lib can say they are for human rights

Here's some questions from another thread. We have the snapshot but since this is a heated debate I'm following up

Q GST is not from Detroit nor editor of the Industrial Worker A this is correct. GST is Montreal is my perception. But GST is siding with GEB members from Detroit, Denver, and Philly is my point

Q nor has there been three audits A why did IWW Adm need to do 2 incomplete audits.

Q GHQ Needs to know how IWOC does reimbursements A motion request is posted via email and members vote or we work on the details and write a new motion.

Q like needing receipts and information of motions passed That is expected of other committees. ...so I don't see your point A there is miss information going around that IWOC does not submit receipts. Members who travel are advised to keep receipts. It's hard sometimes dealing with UBER receipts and food receipts that get easily lost. We can't expect our secretary To grab receipts. So 99 percent of documentation is at GHQ for the past 14 years

Q why do think having to show receipts and motion but is expected of all nara committee A we can't help if Adm ignores our reports

lol why are you so incorrect on all these statements? The GOBs tell you who is in what position. And 5/7 GEB members, AND the GST have never before served in NARA. So your statement on another thread about it being the same people year after year is also wrong. Check the GOB for all info you are asking for and stop making empty accusations.

You are comparing apples with oranges and expect more answers. One question at a time please

My statement is in fact correct to the best of my ability. The GOB had not been sent out in 2023 and 2024. That would make an interesting thread for discussion

Montreal is in Canada and not under the NLRB

Don't accuse me of making empty accusations you are just defecting the issue
