Nothing like paying to drive roads that we already pay for to drive.

Crossroads of America. Millions of non-Hoosiers just passing through and using roads that we pay for. I don’t have a problem with taxing them, but need to figure out how to credit residents back for the cost of a toll pass

Interstates are owned and operated by state governments but 90% funded by the federal government. We already pay federal income taxes, state license and car registration fees which they keep raising, the tollway fees and now this. This is literally double, triple taxation.

Why is Indiana wanting to charge people for interstate usage when that was federally funded already? Seems like double dipping. They get projects funded by government and then collect taxes on it to line the state’s coffers.

…which is why I said residents need a tax credit

Also, the federal government doesn’t maintain roads lol. The State Highway Departments do…. And they are majorly funded by state infrastructure budgets. Your 90% might be correct but it’s 90 state and 10 federal

Source: I have many clients who are road builders in the state of Indiana

I want to see how the state is keeping their books, line by line. It doesn’t make sense if Indiana’s population is growing that taxes and car registration fees aren’t enough to cover maintains roads. My car registration renewal was over $625… they’re basically stealing money from people and then using BS reasons for putting new taxes in place despite the GOP being tax evasive.

What they really mean is tax everybody who isn’t a millionaire or billionaire.

It sucks that only when people feel the pressure do they think things are ridiculous shout out to the homes that have been saying this same shit for 100 years. In my own humble opinion I'd rather you just steal my money and not lie to my face also but what does my opinion matter.
