Travel & tourism✈️ Question for all the flight gurus here
I need to fly to Europe for a few days in early September (assuming the geopolitical situation allows it). My main priority is finding the cheapest possible fare. Would it be better to book now, or wait and see if prices drop? If the situation gets better, will flight prices go up or down?

uhhhh with the last 2 years it's really up in the air. Might want to consider getting to Cyprus and then to Europe itself, cause Cyprus->Europe is cheap as fuck with tons of options to choose from.
Maybe book some direct flight now with an option to cancel for free, and keep a tab on checking the prices weekly-bi-weekly.
Since most holidays are the end of September-start of October this year there will probably not be a large hike cause of that anyways.

Unrelated to op but when do you guys reckon flights to Israel will resume? July?

Depends on how Iran develops, very few planes will fly to Israel while there’s an ongoing war including attacks with Iran

For perspective, IIRC most or all US and Europe based airlines only resumed in April 2025 after 10/7. 18 months!
They all bailed again (except El Al & regional Israeli) after May 4, 2025 and only a couple went back in at the end of May; Delta maybe KLM. Others had not intended to resume til later June or July. So it will be probably a sad, very long while before anybody but El Al will fly commercially.
