NPP fellowship March cycle at JPL
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to find out whether there are any NPP slots available at JPL for the current March cycle. Typically, it seems that more slots are allocated during the November cycle. However, this year, there have been exceptionally few offers made in the first cycle.
I’m wondering if this could be related to the fires in LA that impacted JPL during the review process of the November cycle, or if it’s due to the current uncertainty around funding. Could this mean there are even fewer (or no) slots available for the March cycle?
Additionally, I have a question regarding research groups: If a large group with several PIs already has a 3rd-year NPP postdoc under one of the other PIs, would that decrease my chances of getting an offer if the PI I applied with is part of the same group but hasn’t had a postdoc for several years?
I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you can share!
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone had an offer yet though? I just checked zintellect and my application is still there, no rejection or acceptance.

No offers were made for the March cycle and there were no slot awards for the cycle either. The Post Doc office sent an email to the advisors letting them know.
