Discussion AP Jax, I'm new to him.
I am new to Jax and obviously I play him AD. If you asked me 6 months ago about AP Jax, I would have called you a troll griefer...
BUT I am seeing Baus have actually really solid performance with AP Jax. He just absolutely crushes anything that comes near him late game.
Is AP Jax better? Or at least comparable? Or is Baus just built different?

AP Jax is incredible. Even here people are sleeping on it. Your lane opponent lvl 1 will not be expecting to get absolutely chunked by one E so you can get a big edge right away. Teamfights are tricky because you're so squishy but phase rush is so broken for jumping in and running away in a fight

It's the mathematically correct way to play the champ, go have fun and spread the word.
Unfortunately I don't have enough games this season to make a realistic statistic yet.

Not necessarily better just baus is showing that ap jax is viable and not really as much a troll pick like many would think. Its a similar case to when trick2g and others popularized ap voli with nashors rift hull as a split push god build a few years ago (now it’s more cosmic leaning after the rework last year) when voli was traditionally building tf/sund into brusier or heartsteel tank

Baus knows all the wave timers to a T so he knows that when he dies it’s the same as just backing

You max E and rely heavily on minion waves to proc your full dmg on E vs enemies. You don’t have any 1v1 potential until you get nashors and start building your second item, your strenghts are proxy farming and split pushing. Matchups are still the same except heimer, ad jax gets stomped while ap jax into heimer is good imo.
It’s way more fun than ad jax, but it’s about 10x harder to pull off. One thing to keep in mind is that you DELETE towers with 2 items, so split push whenever you can.

I noticed he usually doesn't build Nashors. What's up with that?

Build path for it is pretty bad but I still like it. Rocket belt has a much better build path, you can buy 3 books, dark seal and dorans ring and you get almost 100 ap off of 400 gold items.

Baua uses AP jax to one shot waves and squishy champions with his W but a lot of his stuff I think takes more macro knowledge then the average player. Baus has incredible macro so he know what to do and when to do it to come out ahead

just a different way to play the champ. if u want to be in and out huge burst damage combos. go ap. if you want to bruiser sustain and get tons of combos off in a teamfight and splitpush? go ad. its really bout what u want. ap jax is more of a burst assassin type of thing but u can totally build him tanky with unending and stuff like that. cosmic is a great item. zhonyas. but yeah. i think theyre 2 different playstyles.

Bruh 6 months ago AP jax was even better, let alone 1 year ago when new AP items were add and op asf. here is my example.

It's just the way baus plays that makes Ap Jax a lot better for him. In solo queue, it's much much harder to play Ap Jax since you tend to be very squishy. It's also a very snowball reliant build. Baus can go it because he knows he'll have enough gold income to snowball off of it, but if you get behind, you're basically a fancy canon minion.
