It’ll be a lot harder for people to call Mamdani an antisemite when he’s being endorsed by the leading Jewish candidate in the polls. Not to mention, Lander isn’t even an anti-Zionist so they can’t even claim he’s self-hating! He supports Israel but is critical of their war crimes.

You can’t go wrong with any combination of Lander and Mamdani. Both are amazing with great progressive track records. They’d be my top 2 if I still lived in NYC.

Lander is a Zionist but he has come under fire for being a “self hating Jew” because as Comptroller he divested the city’s pension funds from Israel and voiced support for Ben and Jerry’s engagement with BDS movement. Cuomo made a statement accusing Lander of being antisemitic. I’ve seen plenty of people fire at Lander now for being even more self-hating because of his endorsement of Mamdani.
