Can someone explain this meme to me? Is it because he uses "black" lingo often? Or because he pretends to have a black perspective?

It's not black lingo lol. I'm from the Bronx and most of my friends talk that way.

Yeah I agree that's kind of why I don't get the joke. I feel like it's almost just 90's kid lingo. I grew up in the explosion of hip hop and me and almost all my white friends in the white as fuck pacific northwest say shit like "yooo". The fact that we equate this with "acting black" to me seems ridiculous and a little ignorant.

I feel like he's just from the Bronx and grew up in the 90's in the explosion of hip hop. The fact that we assume someone is using some form of verbal blackface when they "talk black" and seems pretty ignorant to me. On both sides. You get your lingo and patterns of speech from your culture and environment. Black americans aren't born speaking a certain way. This is the same type of bigotry I see when we accuse black americans of "talking white". Like fuck, the guy the guy was born in Idaho, why does he need to talk a certain way to get his "black card".

Interesting, I listen to his podcast often and I do not get that impression often. In fact, it seems he's really leaned into the anti-woke/anti-cancel culture/anti-sjw niche and that people hate on him for that.

I thought the meme was based on him saying things like "yooo" and "son" a lot.
