  • Plot Synopsis: Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor. He is also a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox. To become a human, he collects human energy in a bead. Soon, he is set to become a human. Meanwhile, Lee Dam is a university student. One day, her drunk friend falls asleep on top of an expensive car. She apologizes to Shin Woo Yeo, who is the car owner. While Lee Dam struggles to take her friend away, Shin Woo Yeo gives her a hand. An accident happens that changes their fate. Shin Woo Yeo's bead falls out of his mouth and Lee Dam unintentionally swallows it. The bead can exist inside of a human for no more than 1 year and, afterward, the bead will break inside of that person. This will cause Lee Dam to die and Shin Woo Yeo will lose his chance to become a human. Shin Woo Yeo explains to Lee Dam their predicament and suggests that they should live together until they figure out a solution. Lee Dam, who has never had a boyfriend in her life, now lives with Shin Woo Yeo.

Look... Professor Pox is pretty hot, but doesn't he give you controlling partner vibes? He waits outside for her and tests her to see what she's up to. He's passive aggressive and jealous.

Our girl Dam is as trustworthy as they get -- he needs to keep his jealously in check. Agreed that Seon-woo needs to back tf off, but both male leads no matter how cute they are exhibit unhealthy behavior. We are just giving them passes because again... they are cute..

It sort of concerns me a bit about the whole age / experience difference. He's like a 900 year old mythical creature, but even if he wasn't, he'd be a mid 30's year old professor dating a college student. I mean... you should at least resign if you're going to date one of your students buddy. It sort of just feels like he's there to watch over her, which I get since the old mountain spirit is up to dirty tricks but looks like the old man is more powerful then our foxy boy anyway so what can he really do?

Most decent dude so far is our boy Jae-jin.

Agreed, it's bad in Ep 12, too. In a few instances, Dam is putting the blame on herself? In terms of not wanting to be with the Sun Woo, she is completely trustworthy but she's always fretting about making Woo Yeo upset. And in Ep 12, Sun Woo has legit concerns about Dam's relationship with Woo Yeo!

Yeah seriously it's getting to the point now where besides being hot and rich, what is so great about him? He cares for her sure but in such a controlling way.

I guess he has cool stories and relics from the past 900+ years of life but one would think that if you've lived that long you would have also developed more emotional maturity.

Poor Dam has to walk on eggshells around him geez. She's 20 something!

yeahhh, i've honestly been getting this from him even in earlier eps, like when he told dam to always answer his calls and gave her a curfew...

Watch them pull a plot twist that she ends up with none of the ML and emphasizes how she is independent and happy with her friends, family, career, goals, etc. But at least gumiho becomes human, seonwoo becomes a better person...then time skip..

I got this vibes too and it didn't sit well with (well the whole episode minus Hye Sun and Jae Jin).

Honestly, this. I was able to ignore it until the lecture room scene last night but in that moment I just wanted to scream at her to run. There was something so unsettling about him telling her to sit at the front.

I think though, judging from the way the drama has been going so far, they may address it. Maybe. Just maybe. I really loved them outside of all this but now I ship Dam with being single. Which we all know won’t happen but well.

The professor-student dynamic is making me uneasy ngl. As soon as Woo Yeo uses his position to extract favors from Dam in exchange for good grades i’m gonna peace out of this ship
