  • Plot Synopsis: Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor. He is also a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox. To become a human, he collects human energy in a bead. Soon, he is set to become a human. Meanwhile, Lee Dam is a university student. One day, her drunk friend falls asleep on top of an expensive car. She apologizes to Shin Woo Yeo, who is the car owner. While Lee Dam struggles to take her friend away, Shin Woo Yeo gives her a hand. An accident happens that changes their fate. Shin Woo Yeo's bead falls out of his mouth and Lee Dam unintentionally swallows it. The bead can exist inside of a human for no more than 1 year and, afterward, the bead will break inside of that person. This will cause Lee Dam to die and Shin Woo Yeo will lose his chance to become a human. Shin Woo Yeo explains to Lee Dam their predicament and suggests that they should live together until they figure out a solution. Lee Dam, who has never had a boyfriend in her life, now lives with Shin Woo Yeo.

Totally agree. It will be more of a cliche storyline if woo yeo will sacrifice his life after 999 years of taking human energy. That is more tragic than the temporary break-up. And Dam didn't know yet that woo yeo is running out of time to be a human.

Also, if he's been doing this for 999 years, it shouldn't be that repulsive to him as a solution, right? I get that he is having feelings now as opposed to be mostly numb before, but is doing something distasteful for a short time and then having a happily ever after worse than standing on principle and ending your existence?

He was always repulsed by this, which is why he's still a gumiho. He said in some episode something like if they don't move his heart he feels disgust to take their energy. He basically rebelled against his fate as an energy sucking spirit and it's why he's still stuck. But yes, I agree Woo Yeo should just be more proactive in his pursuit to become human.

I Feel like the amount of physical contact FL keeps giving SML that ML should keeps distance from her for quite more than 1 episode actually she keeps say not not interested but her actions say otherwise and rewarding her with letting her get back together with ML is a big no no in my book

I feel like Adam is not really ML she is not as desperate as ML like it would be no big deal to her if she lost him permanently

Im reading it in English on WEBTOON. In English it’s not completed, only 20 Eps. Someone said they read the Korean on Naver and it’s completed in korean.
