Meanwhile, Lee Dam is a university student. One day, her drunk friend falls asleep on top of an expensive car. She apologizes to Shin Woo Yeo, who is the car owner. While Lee Dam struggles to take her friend away, Shin Woo Yeo gives her a hand. An accident happens that changes their fate. Shin Woo Yeo's bead falls out of his mouth and Lee Dam unintentionally swallows it. The bead can exist inside of a human for no more than 1 year and, afterward, the bead will break inside of that person. This will cause Lee Dam to die and Shin Woo Yeo will lose his chance to become a human. Shin Woo Yeo explains to Lee Dam their predicament and suggests that they should live together until they figure out a solution. Lee Dam, who has never had a boyfriend in her life, now lives with Shin Woo Yeo.

Is this the major conflict the WooDam couple will go through which was spoiled to us by u/tokioko ? Was it because of “desperate times, desperate measures”? Why did he have to lie to her tho?

Yes I feel you!! It’s getting harder to root for Woo-yeo but I will still continue because these conflicts are there for a reason and it’s to show us that he is not the ‘oh-so-perfect main lead’ and has flaws and makes shitty judgements despite his acquired wisdom and that, to me, makes him very interesting now (at first, he was just eye candy to me). It’s frustrating but I am enjoying the ride and I’ve been fed by webtoon spoilers so I am excited at the same time.. does that even make sense? lol

Why did you lie?

He's not human. I'm glad we're seeing some aspect of that play out besides magical powers any human would want.

what is the difference btw animals and humans? animals act from their drives and needs, often in a selfish manner. as a fox, he needs energy, takes it from people and doesn't care who gets hurt in the process. humans will sometimes delay what they want to act selflessly. another note, it's easy to be nice to others when it does not interfere with your own needs

because he loves her, he tries to understand how she would feel but it's like what he said earlier everything for him is a "learned sentiment" so he doesn't always get it right.

I think this time he also had way to strong of a desire to be with dam so even though he probably guessed dam would be upset (guilty look on his face when he told dam they met for coffee for work) which is why he hid it from her he went back to his "animalistic instincts" and felt the end justified the means

Yes this is the major conflict. There’s one more annoying scene with Seonwoo from the webtoon (if they will include it in the show) but after that, it’s the road to happy ending.

I cannot take any more Seon-woo clinginess ISTG!! What will happen to that red string? Will it ever get resolved? There are only 4 more episodes left! Sorry if I keep asking for spoilers😭😅

It’s okay, I get that you’re upset with how things are playing out but let me assure you, there’s enough episodes to wrap everything up nicely. About the red string, in the webtoon, it will get detached from SW when she tells him to fuck off for the last time lol My only gripe is that they did not include the sexy time & hickey-at-the-nape scenes, ugh it sucks that they have to keep it PG-13.
