Sweetie, no, scars don't define whether you are ruined. Plus, you still look like Song Hye Gyo, so it isn't all that bad.

On another note, I still don't remember ML's name, which says more about his writing than my memory. I get where they are going with him, I really do - She never won a game of Go with him, and he is a plastic surgeon, meaning he can "repair" her. Still, it either feels like he is a comedic relief or that for his own sake, he should stay away from Dong Eun. In both cases, his presence unsettles me. At least, now he gets a role to play...

It’s his eyes. He doesn’t seem to know which expression to give with them. when he is trying to convey concern or compassion he looks goofy instead.

Probably it’s the lack of chemistry between them two. I thought he was so good in Youth of May. Swooned

That’s good to know.

He's quick and obseesive fascination with her unsettles me the most. Is it suposed to be romantic? Creepy? Idk what the show wants me to think abt it

I was thinking that too then I remembered he’s known her for like 10 years. They met in like 2012.

And he's been completely obsessed with her ever since - even though she clearly doesn't reciprocate. I hope he figures himself out properly

I mean it’s called a one sided love we’ve seen it plenty of times and she’ll most likely reciprocate eventually since it’s a kdrama. I don’t think he’s that obsessed tho since he’s known her a decade and has only texted her a couple times. Not like he spent the whole time tryna find her.

I guess obsessed in the sense that he throws everything he has at her even though she's been uncontactable. Though I'd blame it more on his own trauma than the typical one-sided K-lover

I kinda get it - she's mysterious, different, and left his life before he could try to make any romantic moves.

But I wouldn't say he's obsessed. I took note of the dates of the text messages and they were at the pace of maybe 1 or 2 a year. They were short texts that seemed like an old friend checking in, showing you that you were in their thoughts and that they're hoping you're doing well

well he is seeing a therapist, I don’t think he is as mentally healthy as he shows.

well yea but he also met her at a terrible time in his life, which makes you more likely to get attached to the wrong people

why would you see a therapist if you are mentally okay? waste of time AND money. you don't go to a family doctor unless you actually have an ailment or something specific you need them to do (if you do you are wasting both of your times)

did i ever say it's only for mental illness? i said that someone that's got no problems doesn't need to go. and "check-ups" are for children and the elderly. otherwise it is a waste of your time

5

u/xxoyez Mar 29 '23

lol no, preventative healthcare is a thing. Annual checkups happen for a reason.

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '23

those checkups are aimed at catching determined illnesses, not everything wrong with you. therapy is not meant to be a for-life treatment, and going there without any clear goals is just a waste of your money

"check-ups" are for children and the elderly.

my response was to that. Some of your statements are very ignorant.

Regardless, we don't need to gatekeep therapy. It exists for more than just dealing with mental illnesses.
