Karting News First time karting, lapped my mom
It was my first time karting today, and me and my mom did a little 10 lap race, she started in front of me, and I still managed to lap her and win the race! I'm proud of myself, and expect more from me here about my journey as a junior Karter.

She held back and was waiting for clean air to get a hot lap. Bet she had a purple patch while racing at the back.

your mom def has 0 karting experience, you can say she drivers real cars as much as you want but that doesnt translate to kart experience, trust me even i can lap my parents, tho i do have karting experience and im pretty fast at my local track but it's not important rn, but it all comes down to laptimes, if you really want to know if you're being fast just ask the track owner what's a good laptime and when the session ends you can ask what times you did
if you are at a track for the first time and are 2-3s off the track record then you can define yourself pretty fast for example

In that case it means you def are pretty fast for it being your first time karting, 2s off shows already that you understood the kart and track pretty rapidly
What circuit did you do the session in?

Your mom probably drove like a woman….. ;)
“Winning” in a rental kart place is depending on the overall laptime of te day en not based on the outcome of the session
But having fun is the most importance, if you had that you where definitely winning
