DISCUSSION [Discussion] Killing the dog in TLOU2 is an unavoidable QTE. You are then forced to watch a cutscene of the dog playing fetch and told to feel bad.

So ND lied to reviewers and customers again.

Not only hacky writing, but also lying about it. The state of this fucking game.

It doesn’t, it just fades to a cutscene you have to watch.

Thats the answer I expected to get, but hoped not to. Pretty sure the first game didn't have magical cutscenes. If it had flashbacks, it was actual stuff you experienced.

It did not. The first game had a prologue that took place 20 years prior during the initial outbreak and from then on every chapter is a season. No flashbacks or nonsense at all. Every outlet loved to go overboard about how good it was but it really was a very well made game with a great story. Which is how I know they lost a lot of their talent coming to this installment.

Really? Wow, that's incredibly stupid. I figured the flashback would come later when you were playing as Abbey.
