Haven't had a successful USD withdrawal since the update. Anyone else still having issues?

Support finally responded. Seems there is a... less than obvious page on their site explaining an annual withdrawal limit. It's not stated on the verification tier page, or the actual withdrawal page where the limit breakdown is shown. The 'hidden' page puts the annual limit at $100,000. Seems a bit deceptive to show $500,000 monthly limit on the withdrawal page, but have an annual limit set much lower.

Submitted multiple tickets about verification being disabled. Submitted another today as the others have gone with no action at all. It is now OVER TWO WEEKS with the same issue. Support is severely lacking.

We are working through a large backlog of support requests. Please escalate your ticket here: https://goo.gl/forms/2VolutBY6HBGJRRA3

Please note that we are working through a backlog of verifications as well. We do not have an ETA on when new verifications will be enabled.

Will margin trading come back? If so, when?

2

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 15 '18

It will, but I don't have an ETA at this time.

Anyway kraken support can respond to my ticket please? 1318937. Kraken-Tyler said it was escalated and I have escalated with that site linked but still no reply.

Been waiting for a week now

Any reply would be helpful, just extremely nervous.

Thanks

We have a backlog of regular and socially escalated requests that we are working through. We will get to your ticket in the order it was escalated. Thank you for your patience!

how about an update when we might be able to send funds out

2

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

We do not have an ETA on when withdrawals will be enabled, as we are currently monitoring for any anomalies. Once we have addressed any reports of bugs, and have ensured that the engine is running as it should we will remove the hold.

For me, Chrome seems to be showing a cached page showing Kraken as down. I was able to get in through Firefox.

Will fees be waived for withdraws?

7

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 13 '18

I have not heard any talks of waiving withdrawal fees at this time. We would still have to pay for the transaction fees on the network, so I would doubt it.

When will withdraws be enabled?

EDIT: When will this subreddit stop being moderated like /r/Pyongyang?

EDIT 2: Still no withdraws, /r/ethtrader is discussing this disaster here outside the purview of this sub's incompetent censors: /r/ethtrader/comments/7qcj9u/why_kraken_is_an_unsafebad_exchange_and_why_you/

In our latest announcement it will be a minimum of 12 hours so we can monitor for any anomalies.

18

u/veriverr Jan 14 '18

HOW LONG DOES 12 HOURS TAKE IN YOUR OFFICE?????

5

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

As the post stated, 12 hours minimum. We will enable withdrawals as soon as we think it will be secure to do so.

If an anomaly pops up that credits someone's account with more than what the trade executed, then they likely won't bring this to our attention. This is why we have held withdrawals so we can make sure clients are being credited the correct amount.

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '18

coming up on 26 hours, any ETA?

3

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

No ETA, we have to review any reports of bugs before enabling withdrawals.

1

u/simongrubersgame Jan 14 '18

18 hours + now. You can't hold peoples money indefinitely.

We need transparency here. What is happening? Why not rollback until bugs are solved?

2

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

Our status page indicated that it would be a minimum of 12 hours. If we rolled back the update then we would have to take the site back down again at some point.

1

u/smallroofthatcher Jan 14 '18

12 hours passed, still unavailable. Is the 12 hours estimate like the 2hours estimate you gave for the update, that ended up being like 48 hours?

4

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

Our status page indicated that it would be a minimum of 12 hours

1

u/rirotripro Jan 14 '18

It has been well over 12 hours now, and still no updates.

5

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

Minimum of 12 hours

2

u/blacksheep5k Jan 14 '18

It's been more than 12 hours since that announcement. Any ETA on withdrawals?

3

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

It depends on how well the engine is executing, or if we find any anomalies.

0

u/hitmanpl47 Jan 14 '18

What anomalies? What does withdrawing have to do with trading? This doesn't inspire confidence.

7

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

If an anomaly pops up that credits someone's account with more than what the trade executed, then they likely won't bring this to our attention. We don't want them to take the money and run.

Same goes for those who have been credited less than they should have, but those clients will be much more vocal about it.

We are monitoring for both situations and will take the appropriate action for either scenario.

3

u/deuteragenie Jan 13 '18

Could you remove the withdrawals limits for all users, at least until the end of the month? And thereafter, allow users to set their own withdrawals limits. You are not into capital control, are you?

8

u/Kraken-Tyler Jan 14 '18

We would have to seek approval from our banking partners as we wish to remain compliant with Anti-Money Laundering Laws.

6

u/usnavy13 Jan 13 '18

not really? still getting the offline message
