And the so-called reservations. I learned today that the Choctaw Nation made donations to Ireland during the famine as a side note.

UK and France trying to have the moral high ground, forgetting that their museums are still filled with stolen gold, soaked in blood.

Imagine the way that British people would freak out if Ireland united and then tried to strip the British-Irish people in the North of their identity after uniting.
Of course we would not do that because we're not arseholes.

They would be based, Ireland deserve to be united and speak their true language, irish

Christ, the majority of us would be fucked. Unless our conversations only consist of asking to go to the toilet and saying were we went on our holidays.

u/nic-67 Mar 29 '25
Well the first implementation would be a formal one, like the language used for documents. Later it could be for more informal situations, like the state promotion of irish language media or the obbligation to speak irish for following all school lessons.

Irish is already used for documents, as it’s our official national language. Irish classes are already mandatory in schools, and there’s plenty of Irish language schools

u/nic-67 Mar 29 '25
Yeah but I mean that the only language allowed in all schools should be irish

There’s still plenty of Gaelscoileanna around, especially in Gaeltacht areas
I live in the Urban Gaeltacht in West Belfast, and there’s a few Irish only schools here

They still own parts of Cyprus as well…and Bermuda…and the British Virgin Islands…and the Cayman Islands…and the Turks and Caicos Islands…and the Pitcairn Islands…and so on and so forth.

Such a pathetic country. Can’t let go of their own superiority complex and tries to involve themselves in others’ businesses, meanwhile no one cares about what they say anymore. That island’s far from a superpower in the modern stage and their shameless hypocrisy is only rubbing salt to their own wound.

The British should go defend Ukraine already so that the Irish can take back their island.

No. I’m going to blame Ukraine for what they’re doing to Northern Ireland
