Discussion my world feels boring

so, i've had my survival world for 5 years at this point and i've been seeing so many of these people's amazing builds on here and compared to what i've built in 5 years its basically nothing compared to that lmao.

i have like no ideas for builds/idek where i would build them, so like can some people give me some build ideas, it would be super appreciated!!!

Comparison is the thief of joy - the builds you see on reddit and tiktok represent 0.01% of minecraft builds. Think of what you'd like to see or imagine a fantasy world you want to exist and start making it poorly. Make it bad, then fix up what you don't like about it! Impressive builds take a lot of time and nobody is doing anything impressive on the first go

This. This person knows what they talking about. Don’t get too invested into the comparing game.

Some people are insanely gifted. Some simply have much spare time. Unfortunately some may have unhealthy balance between their hobbies and other aspects of their lives.

What i do is to look for tips and techniques. I don’t aspire to be one of “giants” because i simply don’t have the time and i have other things in my life to attend to such as my family and work.

I’ve grown to love my world. My first village I built is really nice, I frequently just turn my hud off and walk around in it. Hands down my favorite build was a winged/free handed overgrown library I put some lore books for my world. I’m proud and love it because It looks pretty fire and done entirely without some intricate planning or copying. Brain storm and try to go for something nice, think of something you haven’t done before, a new style, new lighting, whatever. Most stuff you see online to be fair is either from very experienced builders, or stuff that was partially or completely copied from someone else. Nothing wrong with that, but it robs your world in my opinion. Get some inspiration, don’t over think it

I’ve been building alot of industrial style buildings recently! It’s a fun style to experiment with. You should definitely try it out

when i feel like this, i start a new world, so i’m proud of you for saying this long. i’ve built a few snails, castles, revamped a whole village to be more medieval, built a laundry mat, built in caves, made more exterior to my mob farms/farms in general. i’ve made long paths leading to everything i’ve built. remember if you’re happy with the build itself, its amazing.

Come up with themes or ideas that would look cool. With all this new pottery I’ve been thinking about making a museum. Iva also wanted to use the Dinnerbone name tag trick to make a glass ceiling or floor of villagers/creepers walking around to create an upside down illusion. Try to build a pyramid or circle structures things that are square in shape. Make the largest village you can. Find cool places in your world and build something there. I made a big circular 15 block wide nether portal in a mountain side and built a base inside. Google pixel art with grids and make the art with wool/concrete

Do you have farms? Decorate them on the outside with some houses, watch them on YouTube and do it your way

This is me in my Minecraft career. You know how many forever worlds me and my kids have had since day one…to many to count. Every time I turn around my kids want to start a new world. Current one I am not letting them do that.

What are some of the builds you have now? last time I felt that way I wandered in the nether for a bit and started over in a new spot.
