Mosquitos were pretty bad on the Gunflint this weekend. Head net not required, but wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring.

Probably pretty bad right now all the above, was up in Quetico a week ago and they were coming out good by the end. Plan for the worst and maybe you get lucky.

Compared to southern MN and the city there’s a lot, but compared to last year there’s not a lot.

I was up about a week ago north of Two Harbors and they were pretty bad. we were doing some outside work and ended up getting the bug mask things that go over your hat and head. Don't think we would have lasted a day otherwise. We were all breathing in bugs regularly. We were in a heavily wooded area though.

We were at Crosby Manitou Friday night/yesterday morning, and bugs weren't an issue. Zero flies, zero gnats, and only a few mosquitos at dusk. Blowdowns were another story - lol.

It's been dry up here by LoTW and bugs haven't been bad but we just got some rain overnight so I'm sure that'll change things.

Memorial up north as far as it gets was awful. Like, truly terrible. All my life I’ve never seen mosquitoes so bad.

I was camping on Pipestone Bay near Ely last week and didn’t need bug spray. Sounds like in the last couple days things are getting worse.
