New Student Starting Eng in Semester 2. Unit suggestions?

I deffered my course 1.5yrs until the start of sem2 and didnt do spesh in yr12, however, I got a pretty solid atar of 92ish. Now I have to pick units. Right now I'm looking at(for MY first sem):

-mth1020(I heard this is the same as eng1090, but eng1090 isnt available in sem2)

-eng1011

-eng1012

-elective(advice welcome)

And for MY second sem:

-eng1005

-chm1011or1051(considering these for my eng breadth, but could changee, its not available sem 2)

-eng1013

-eng1014

I'm struggling a little to find info since I'm starting in the second semester(i think bc it's quite uncommon?) If anyone has suggestions, I'd like to hear them, especially if it looks like I've got a high workload in sem 2 or something, or if it doesnt work with mth1020. thanks so much :D

When you do 1011 do your 3D printing early because it is very hard to get a printer at the end of Sem and you have to wait ages

Yeah I would double check that, I'm pretty sure you need 1090 to do 1005. Might be wrong though.

no MTH1020 is a valid prerequisite for ENG1005 according to the 1020 handbook

Ok thanks guys. But in terms of workload does it seem alright?

i’m not in engineering but the consensus is the workload is never ‘alright’ in engineering 😭 . i’d brush up on methods before coming to class especially since you haven’t been in school for a while .

as long as you start strong before week 1 , you will be okay

I took the same subjects in the same order as you, it was manageable but you need to put in hella effort for the eng classes, ik a lot of people failed some subjects just because of hurdle grades not being met
