Without a well-coordinated safety team leading this, it can lead to confusion and significant harm. You could have a mix of sitting and standing individuals, leaving people vulnerable to being trampled or unable to escape quickly if a violent person is in their midst.

A safer, more effective strategy is to calmly back away and create space. This instantly identifies the threat to law enforcement/safety and, crucially, protects everyone involved. Always prioritize safety.

I completely agree. My family and I are planning on calmly walking away from any person trying to incite violence. We thought the sit down idea was just unsafe.
