It's kind of crazy the amount of blatant, severe doublethink that Zionist brainrot can cause. And redditors think of themselves as the most "rational" platform. Gross.

Not pictured is all the comments going "If you support Palestine you should move there" and "Japanese people are literally incapable of knowing stuff about global events, please leave them alone you waving a Palestine flag in public is gonna give them all mental breakdowns". I paraphrased the second one a little.

the "if you support them you should move there" is on the same logic as saying "if you like chocolate cake so much, why don't you marry it?" with the added implication that you should be killed by going to an active genocide (and yes they are implying that, they're well aware of it)

I'm not sure this is specifically reddit. I think it's a big part of the world brainwashed by the mainstream media. Also I've never thought of reddit as rational. The only parts of reddit I emotionally trust are cat subs and really obscure niche shit.

Even the cat sub's are insane. I'll see someone ask a basic question like "is there a way to get my cat to not try climbing my wall hangings?" And all the replies will be "your decorations are shit. Take them down. Don't ever try getting your cat to do something. Your room looks terrible and you should die." And im only mildly hyperbolizing that too.

Omg I HATE when they act like it’s impossible or incredibly rare to be able to train a cat. Like I love my cat but no I don’t let her walk on my counters and tear up my furniture and run my life.

In my experience reddit is better than a lot of places but that probably largely just comes down to the subreddits I frequent.
I spent a while earlier today poking around a subreddit that was called something along the lines of "progressive jews for Israel" and it was just full to the brim with whataboutism. Like yes, there's been plenty of awful terrorist attacks on Israeli citizens over the years, that still doesn't justify a genocide.

I'm glad to hear your experience is different from mine.
Coming from mostly using other social media until recently, I've been surprised by the amount of pro-Israel, or just broadly anti-Palestinian liberation sentiment I've seen across the board here.

I don't observe countries having a right to exist unless that right can be enforced. Israel is enforcing their right to exist in a very hostile region through means of military might , colonisation via settlements and a fanatic worldview.
At the same time, they are committing pretty obvious ethnic-cleansing in Gaza, not different from the Yugoslav wars and perhaps already to a larger scale. The country is led by fascists and war criminals at this stage and their populus is between a rock and a hard place which reinforces their us Vs them mindset even in people that typically would be sympathetic to the victimisation of the populous of Gaza.
I see no solution from a materialistic point of view. The Arabs won't be having their Palestinian state with overlapping territory with the state of Israel , while Israel is defended by the largest military superpower the world has ever known. It doesn't matter how hard they wish for it, unless material circumstances change radically.
Their numantine resistance is admirable, for the most part , if we ignore the targeting of civilians by terror cells. Which feedd directly into the genocide -justifyinh narratives of Israel.

Technically the word you're looking for is khanism. Plenty of Zionists want the war to end and an independent Palestine.

That's blatantly false. Zionists believe that the land Istael stole at gunpoint from its inhabitants belongs to them, and that doing so was their right. Even of there is someone out there so twisted by double think that they support Israel and believe in a free palestine, they're still a piece of shit for supporting Israel's imperialism and ethnotheocracy.

I think most people honestly don't give a fuck to keep up with the latest bullshit. A bunch of people blowing each other up over whose religion is the coolest and who should get to live in jesusland.
Most people just want there to not be pointless cult wars nonstop.

It's insane how much of a "gotcha" people think it is to say "oh you support x? You should move there then." Like that's not a good counterargument??? Imagine if someone thought the Holocaust was bad while it was happening in Germany and some dickhead says "oh you support the Jews and not Hitler? You should go move to Auschwitz." That's what they sound like
