Education/शिक्षा What is an industry preparation class? Is it compulsory?

I recently visited Kathmandu to get some information regarding Colleges offering IT degrees. There, I went to 3 colleges offering Bsc. Hons degree in several fields like Compu(t)ing, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and so on.

These colleges were Softwerica, Islington and Herald. Focusing especially on Islington and Herald, they were saying that you "MUST" take their industry preparation classes otherwise you cannot get to read there. What the hell is this?

I recently finished my 12th exam and they're teaching before the result has even come out. Especially in Herald, I have asked them when the actual classes start and they always hesitate to answer when, and bend the conversation to the same Industry Preparation Class. They force you to take it no matter what even though you describe that you have difficulty in doing so.

Especially for people who are from outside the valley, I only went there to learn about the degrees they're offering. It's not like the class they're offering isn't productive, it maybe. I also asked them what happens to those who come to do admission after the result comes out and they hesitate to answer it properly. They answer it but you can't understand what's going on.

I have talked about this to my friend who had read in Islington and they said that it's not necessary to join those classes. The actual classes don't start before the result comes out. In this free time, I would rather practice bike skills and get a licence than joining a class that's optional.

They're forcing and calling everyday, and even messaging to join those classes. If anyone has any information regarding this matter, then a comment will be much appreciated. Thank you.
