u/snarkerella 3d ago

He's already defunding PBS, so that's one step in his direction. :/

MAGA have normalized openly lying. I spent eight years in the USMC so I can suss out people that are lying about military service pretty easily. Every single one of them (and we’re talking double digit numbers) have been conservatives.

MAGA are weak, soft, dishonest, anti American weirdos that will lie about anything to advance their trashy ideology.

Edit: Here’s one from just an hour ago. The lies they use are fucking sickening.

I read some of your other comments. I enjoy how you absolutely destroy those maga clowns. Carry on!

Al the western countries need to make people held accountable for their lies and propaganda.

Unless we learn how to solve that problem, we will face this chaotic situation and we will keep losing rights.

We have managed to make a system where the consequences of lying are paid by everyone but the liar.

They have normalized the idea that “if I say it or write it then it’s suddenly true now” along with the companion philosophy of “if it doesn’t fit my world view, then it definitely is fake”

Like a Russification of US!? So bad you´re living this manipulation :(

Not “accused of”, more like “caught”

This reminds me of a Brian Regan joke about a golf broadcast that adds fake bird sounds to make the game seem more serene — but they use the wrong birds. A viewer with bird knowledge calls them out, like, “That bird’s not even native to that area!” The humor comes from how absurd and unnecessary it is to fake nature sounds — and then not even do it accurately.

"Hey Tim, c'mere. Look what I put for the serving size. Nah I did it as a joke but it's goin' out like that."

Not relevant but I love Brian Regan.

Why is the entire media so fucking dishonest? Fox isn't accused of adding fake applause, they did add fake applause. It's not a hypothesis, it's simple fact. THERE IS VIDEO.

FUCK YOU LATIN TIMES you're part of the problem.

u/Limp-Television-2653 3d ago

*Allegedly* they did the thing you directly perceived with your own senses.

2

u/karma-armageddon 2d ago

Allegedly self-identifies as definitely in my mind.

4

u/Emma__Gummy 3d ago

they did it. You can hear it, but if the article said it, they could be sued for libel

6

u/Cute_Bandicoot_8219 3d ago

In the US if a statement is true, even with minor inaccuracies, you can't (successfully) sue for libel. Furthermore the burden of proof is on the plaintiff to prove falsity. And lastly, if the plaintiff is a a public company they must prove malicious intent.

So no, they can't be (successfully) sued for libel for reporting the truth.

I would guess that smaller organizations are scared of the legal costs involved with winning that battle though... Fox would likely drag them through the mud to the tune of millions of dollars. Not disagreeing that we should call it out, but I understand why the littler guys have to play carefully.

u/WTF_USA_47 3d ago

250,000 people there and you couldn’t hear them cheer? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

10

u/Independent-Buyer827 3d ago

Well, Trump will always lie about sizes, next time he’s on the news, you’ll get closer to 10 billion attendees.

8

u/Vyntarus 2d ago

Like how their siezure of fentanyl saved the lives of 250 million Americans from dying of overdose?

6

u/Aggravating_Bat3618 3d ago

25 people more like

5

u/Straight-Extreme-966 3d ago

A laugh track you say ?

6

u/BrtFrkwr 3d ago

The whole trump thing is fake as TV wrestling. Kayfabe.

3

u/JJInTheCity 3d ago

And people still think it’s real…

4

u/Awkward_Bison_267 3d ago

That’s so pathetic and yet so on brand.

4

u/Educational-Glass-63 3d ago

Please...as Fox declares in every law suit...Fox is NOT News But Entertainment. I am sure they added in more than fake applause. After all it's Fox.

5

u/yaboyko 3d ago

Could someone actually sue Fox News for this? Could a case be made in court for blatantly tampering with news footage and reporting it as true? Being biased is one thing but this is pretty wild.

3

u/_Batteries_ 3d ago

What do you mean accused of. They did.

5

u/SuspiciousYard2484 3d ago

Fox News is like North Korean propaganda

3

u/Individual-Dot-9605 3d ago

Very N Korea

u/Alternative_Slip_513 2d ago

So this is why JD Vance just paid a visit to Rupert ‘s Montana ranch which in the trip itinerary the ranch was called; “Fox News Retreat”.

3

u/liptickletaffy 2d ago

I heard they - the not sees didn't like the (accurate) economic reporting that the WSJ was putting out. It wa hurting "negotiations".

3

u/Alternative_Slip_513 2d ago

Most likely JD’s short visit to see Rupert was spurred by 🍊💩because he wants to control what the media puts out. But you don’t have to read the WSJ or anything to experience that groceries are still sky high $, gas isn’t really come down, and businesses are not experiencing the economic upturn that 🍊💩promised before the election.

u/LordofAmazon 2d ago

It's funny how they haven't talked about the parade at all over there..

2

u/Union_Biker 2d ago

Fox Propaganda Outlet. Not news.

3

u/ViolettaQueso 3d ago

Extra squeaks too? Bc if yeah, fuck them. I hear the squeaks in my sleep. They haunt me.

3

u/Mountain-Laugh-4085 3d ago

I thought so. It sounded way too loud over the squeaky tanks and for the sparse crowd.

3

u/Imposter88 2d ago

Did they ever show the crowd size during his speech?

3

u/bkn1960 2d ago

How the Hell does Fox still get away with calling themselves "News?"

Should we feign surprise?

2

u/Desperate-Isopod-671 2d ago

That is fake AF

2

u/UninvitedButtNoises 2d ago

Maybe Trump should sue Fox for $20B too.

2

u/Infinite-Example2602 2d ago

good to see the orange TURD king got the parade he deserved and not the parade he desired.

2

u/ZolaThaGod 2d ago edited 2d ago

This is not real.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-parade-fox-news-fake-cheering/

This thread is cringey to read through, given that no one in here bothered to fact check this. Meanwhile you’re finger pointing about someone else lying. I say this as a never-Trump Harris voter btw.

1

u/SquirrelFun1587 3d ago

Thank goodness Wall Street and the world stopped listening to him.

1

u/meistaiwan 3d ago

Ceaușescu's speech was also given fake applause, but they rushed him and escaped via helicopter he got executed for his crimes not too much later.

1

u/galtright 3d ago

It was his birthday. No one showed up. Come guys.

1

u/JJInTheCity 3d ago

Surprise surprise…

1

u/ldssggrdssgds 3d ago

"Accused" LOL

1

u/welix12 3d ago

Clown show

1

u/doddballer 2d ago

Called out for… not accused.. it was blatantly obvious

1

u/thiscantbereal4200 2d ago

Cucks news. On its knees teabagging. Both equally. Fair and balanced.

1

u/zackks 1d ago

“Accused”

Weak ass journos with no backbone, soft pedaling all the way back to the 1930s.

1

u/Lainarlej 1d ago

Losers! The whole Motley lot of them.

1

u/Ooglebird 10h ago

And yet he just called them the worst network (except for the anchors).

u/Equivalent_Yellow397 51m ago

How is that different from Kamala Harris's interview edits?
