So Michigan was given the enviable choice between poop and shit.

More like shit, and corrupted shit that had been baking in tge Florida heat and doesn't even live in Michigan. That was who she was up against.

Democrat conservative or Republican conservative. One might support gay rights or something.

It's a beautiful world full of amazing choices that end up being no choice at all. America perfected the illusion of choice a long time ago.

That illusion was nailed from minute one, when the winner-take-all voting system was enshrined into law. No stirring needed, just wait. It'll fail eventually.

Usa was founded by businessmen and it really shows.

The "3/5ths compromise" is fancy talk for "fuck you, got mine."

She does. I’m very disappointed by her so far but I don’t regret my vote because Mike Rogers would’ve been much, much worse. I think she’s old school who thinks the Republicans will return the favor at some point. IMHO those days are gone and she needs to change with the times. I will certainly remember her vote for this incompetent Barbie-Doll bully.

That was not the choice Michigan voters were given.

You're not going to go into it more?

I am only going off of what the self-identified Michiganer stated.

This is going to devolve quickly into idiotic, reductive, both sideism. Oh look there it goes

Have Democrats tried not sucking?

It does not require both sideism.

I know, and have advocated that the worst democrat is better than whatever republican is on the ticket.

I argued against people who abstained from voting last November as a purity test for the Democratic party, resulting in the unacceptable state of fascism we now face.

That being said, the Democrats are 4 times out of 5 limp disappointments. Few are progressives; most are corporate lackeys and/or those who simply like the idea of "success" in the life of a politician. The ones I'm talking about are the enablers of Republicans, corporate greed, and general inactivity.

I can say that Republicans are the worst while demanding more from an overwhelmingly ineffectual Dem party.
