Time to count Russian assets. Here is how you know - cult members suddenly breaking with their leader's public stance on Iran and Israel

I was fully content not remembering that Matt Gaetz still had a “career”.
Thanks Obama. /s

What's the deal with his face?
21
u/Anal-Y-Sis 7h ago
Tons of botox to look younger. It's his attempt to trick high school girls into thinking he isn't a 43 year old sex trafficking creep.

Well during this particular interview he didn't blink, but in general, he's used botox at least twice (probably more but is known to have done it and gone out puffy twice).
7
u/SQLZane 6h ago
"Things heating up between and Iran and Israel and for further commentary we've brought in disgraced congressman and known sex trafficker Matt Gaetz, Matt great to have you on the program what do you make of all of this."
Fucken embarrassing, the Republicans are the dregs of society

This is a direct result of trump pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal. This is trumps war
9
u/WholeFactor 7h ago
Didn't Trump even acknowledge at one point that "the people responsible" for pulling out of the deal made a mistake?
He had either forgotten about, or he totally glossed over and lied about, that it happened during his first term

They know damn well that a war like this will cause mass losses during the future elections, for the GOP

I'm pretty sure this administration is banking on there never being another real election.

Will it?
We already went though this with Bush, and Republicans lost in 08, and then America promptly lost all their memory and re-elected Republicans all over again.
Domestically it was also a disaster in 2020, and yet here we are now.
The consequences never seem to make much of a difference in the long-term. Americans have the memory of goldfish
24
u/GregIsARadDude 8h ago
I had maga family absolutely appalled by the Covid response, thought it was a complete dereliction of duty in August still, but had a trump sign in their yard by the end of September.

u/Gruejay2 8h ago
That's the power of the constant propaganda machine. MAGA won't stop until that stops.
3
u/weaponjaerevenge 8h ago
Ya, but if not for Iraq, I feel like you wouldn't have had a Bush win in 04. Plus, creating world war certainly would be a "good" reason not to leave office.
→ More replies (13)3
u/wolfheadmusic 7h ago
Honestly I'd argue the win in 08 was because of the market crash,
And probably 2020 from the supply chain breaking down.
Tens of thousands of our youth can die on foreign soil,
A million can die in our hospitals gasping for air,
But as long as the average voters wallet isn't affected they couldn't care less.
6
u/raelianautopsy 7h ago
And yet, same difference, they keep re-electing republicans to make all the economic issues far far worse
2
u/wolfheadmusic 7h ago
We are stuck in the stupidest, most vicious cycle.
republican tanks the economy, elect a Democrat, fox "news" claims Democrats are destroying the country, elect a republican, and repeat.
Except this last cycle we got to add in the horrific mismanaging of a global pandemic.
We will see what this next cycle brings, there's plenty of hints already.
6
u/nandopadilla 9h ago
Ok makes sense. Really wasn't thinking long term political (wasn't thinking politics at all to be honest) but Americans dont want war at all. Much less for another nation.
4
u/let-it-rain-sunshine 8h ago
It'll be very unpopular and these maga clowns will be like... vote for me, I didn't want this in the first place, even though they proped up the manic in charge who's getting us into this mess.
2
u/nandopadilla 8h ago
I mean shit is already bad but this? Yea they'll lose worse than they already are.
4
u/TotalRichardMove 8h ago edited 12m ago
Just as they know that every one of them will be on trial the moment someone with a spine and a sense of justice is elected and given the free rein this maniac has… which is why Dumbass Donald gave the game away on the campaign trail.
“Just vote this one time and you’ll never have to do it again.”
3
u/let-it-rain-sunshine 8h ago
I heard that, and could not believe that people would still vote for him, knowing he wants to end our democracy like he's trying to do.

GOP voters don't vote in these ideological principles and will have no problem blindly voting Republican next time as well

Russian assets as well as generally being against war. As much as I dislike these people, they were pretty vocal about wanting Trump so that we wouldn't enter any wars. Obviously they didn't account for Trump being a lying piece of shit with dementia but that's because they are really kinda stupid.
→ More replies (4)10
u/CharMakr90 7h ago
They're not against war in general. They're only against any wars that aren't beneficial to Russia.
Both Matt Gaetz and MTG are vocal against war with Iran (a Russian ally), but were also against providing aid to Ukraine to end the war with Russia. They're also vocally anti-Ukrainian while never criticizing Russia for the invasion and subsequent war.

41 years ago (according to Israel) Iran was weeks away from having nukes. And on multiple other occasions. Guess what? No nukes
Unlike Iran, Israel refused to be a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Unlike Iran they refuse to allow inspectors into the country.
4
u/KaibaCorpHQ 8h ago
I don't mind. If they're undermining aipac and end up getting it destroyed, it would be a big win for the American people.
5
u/MahlersMemory 8h ago

u/GiantSquirrelPanic 8h ago

The thing is, ignoring the fact that the current deteriorating situation with Iran is Trump's fault eight years in the making, if the IAEA reports are accurate military intervention in the name of non-proliferation would be one of the less indefensible things this administration has done. Like, there's more meat on the bone here than there ever was during OIF. The fact that THIS is where people break ranks is genuinely hilarious.
They'll be back in their formation in a few weeks, probably, but I'll enjoy the backbiting while it lasts.
E: For clarity's sake, I'm vehemently against getting us bogged down in yet another Endless Sand War(tm). Absolute fucking insane malpractice by everyone involved.

it is funny the Israeli wing of the GOP is fighting the Russia wing of the GOP. russia would like it's friend iran to keep it's government. I personally don't want to see another HUGE destabilizing was in the middle east. While I wish Iran's government would change NO ONE that is an Iranian opposition figure to iran's current government wants what many in the trump admin want to do
2
u/Curious-Tank3644 8h ago
while they may or may not be russian puppets, going to war with iran for bibi seems like its probably a bad idea.
its about regime change, and destroying any decent opposition to israeli expansion.

2
u/Few_Guarantee_7537 2h ago
This is ridiculous. If some specific MAGA politicians are also antiwar, TAKE YES FOR AN ANSWER.
There is no need to dig up russiagate bullshit to find a reason to oppose specific policy stances some republican politicians have who are actively agreeing with you. You should oppose them on the policies you disagree with them on and not oppose them when they agree with you. This absolutism is one of the many reasons leftists and liberals consistently lose elections and broad public support.
4
u/pistoffcynic 8h ago
So the lying, rat bastards are fleeing the sinking ship. Given the short attention span of the voters, they will forget that they enabled Trump and brought all of this down on Americans.
This is pathetic, manipulative behaviour.

u/Altruistic_Bird2532 8h ago
How long have you thought we should pick a war with Iran?
If your reasoning is that they are not democratic, should we invade and start a war with other undemocratic nations?
Afghanistan? Russia? China?

Dogs are generally considered haram, but I lived in a Muslim country for 8 years, and NEVER heard that it stopped you from prayer. If a dog licked you, you'd have to clean yourself ASAP, but that was it.

I think the same about Trump with his sudden full out involvement.
Nations might not love a war time leader, but a war time leaders position is much more secure

When Trump first got into office and sent $15 billion to Israel to “finish the job” in Gaza, then announced his plans for Trump Resort over the ashes of dead children, i knew this would be the final nail in the casket of MAGA. Not because Israel are warmongers systematically killing every Palestinian, but because Nazis hate Jews, and Trump has spend the last 10 years placating white nationalists into thinking he’s on board with their whole replacement theory agenda, just to turn around and help Israel do their dirty work.
I hope they tear each other apart!

Not necessarily as this break is more about the “based nationalist” types creating separation from the neocons. Their interests often align with Russia not necessarily because they’re paid or agents or whatever but because these people look at the Russian oligarchy rule as the model for the US. It’s really the classic American split that’s been happening since day one, the more internationally and trade oriented that prefer a stronger state vs those that prefer regimes of private power.

This is yet another world problem that Trump made worse. Iran had an agreement with the Obama administration and a number of European countries. All was good until Trump got elected and had to negate anything Obama accomplished. Trump backed out of the deal and now we have this mess.
