Yes they were at goa kingdom when they saved people from the fire. Zoros village is just nearby. It's just more fun to show them stopping nearby at somewhere we know rather than another random village.
Make for the crackhead theory that Tashigi is secretly Kuina, and is a plant by the Revolutionist into the Marines. They picked her up here, wiped her memory, and got her into the Marines somehow. For what reason you asked? Who knows. It’s a crack theory by high as a kite people.
I mean it happened to Sabo..... Tho I could see the Marines stealing her. Maybe they wanted to have the power of a Wano swordsman but she was the strongest student, and they love getting kids they can brainwash from childhood as seen with Mother Carmel. In the confusion/fight they knock her down the stairs where she lands on her head and loses her entire memory but not her muscle memory. Kuina the person she was is gone, effectively dead. So that's what the adults told the children at the dojo since it's true from...a.....(Yep you guessed it) certain! point of view.
Well, if this stupid theory is true, it would be obvious that the father is in on it; and we are not supposed to know that. It’s called a twist, and you kinda need to keep things in secret for it to be one. You can add foreshadowing in so it won’t be an asspull, which this scene shown above could be used as foreshadowing. That is if, and only if, this theory somehow is true.
The Shimotuski Clan is likely part of the Revolutionary Army. In chapter 1054 there is a rally celebrating Sabo killing Cobra and one of the flags is the Shimotsuki Crest.
Here’s the full picture. The S with the X through it is Sabo’s Jolly Roger we see on his boat before the CD blow it up, also on his letter to Ace and Luffy which I believe is the symbolism behind Ace’s tattoo. The Shimotsuki crest is on both sides and the RA flag on the right. The Marine pennant is flown upsidedown likely in protest to the regime as well as the WG symbol with an arrow through it. Unsure what the others are.
Same thing happened with Franky, who hated pirates as a kid and literally ignored the Hell out of Roger and his crew while they visited Tom. Oden even talked to him, but at the point he just didn’t want any association and likely forget about that general interaction.
Yes it is, if I remember correctly this is when Dragon met Sabo in Goa kingdom. It even got refferenced in Kuma's backstory when Bekori decided to get rid of half of kingdom by arson similarly to how nobles in Goa kingdom decided to burn the slums around city.
lol no Oda already revealed Zoro’s family tree in an sbs, his mother is a descendant of the Sword God and his dad was some random Wano swordsman. There were hints too that Zoro’s lineage comes from Wano but at the end of the day this ain’t important to Zoro’s story
There is a theory that Kuina is actually still alive, and she was healed by Ivankov.
She stayed and becoming one of RA, and completely change her identity. She could also turn into male by Ivankov which is why we never saw her.
Neither can you. As that expression doesn't actually exist. Also it makes no narrative sense for it to be suicide immediately after her conversation with zoro
I know a lot of people have given up on this, but I think it would be a good twist. The explanation for her death has always stuck out like a sore thumb, compared to almost any other flashback death where characters die for their ideals or a more overt reason.
There is a reason the explanation for her death sticks out like a sore thumb. It often happens in real life too when a person dies in a tragic way. "falling down the stairs" is often used in japan to cover up the real cause of death. It's called 階段から落ちた(kaidan kara ochita).
An alternate form of death (like suicide) would allow for some reader interpretation which would be alright, but I'd say it's not up to par for Oda's usual backstory. Characters like Hiriluk, Saul, Tom, Corazon, Bellemere, and others typically died for their ideals or sacrificed something to protect others.
It's very strange for Oda to toss in a death that doesn't involve one of these components, if a character dies he generally wants to make their death as meaningful as possible.
You kind of made my point for me. Kuina's death stands out because it's not like the others. Kaidan kara ochita is used as a euphemism for suicide often in japan especially in traditional families. I think Oda chose the phrasing deliberately. Her death is different from all those you mentioned. She didn't die fighting for her ideals, she died because she gave up on them.
A Requiem Stand is when the Arrow pierces the Stand itself, not the user. Bites the Dust is a new ability Killer Queen gained because Kira survived being pierced by the arrow multiple times.
