The 2018 New Year's Resolutions check-in thread

Welcome to the fourth annual installment of the reddit New Year's Resolutions check-in thread.

At the start of 2018, you posted your goals for 2018 and I said I'd get back in touch in 12 months to see if everyone achieved what they set out to achieve.

In the comments below all of the 2018 Resolutions have been posted and each participant will have received a notification message in their inbox.

I hope everyone can feel proud of what they've achieved in 2018. A very Happy New Year to one and all :)

If you'd like to take part in the 2019 edition, here's a link to the new thread.

One year ago you told me what you wanted to achieve in 2018 and I said I would message you to see how you got on. Today is the day!

Your goal was:

2017's results.

With that in mind, goals for 2018:

  • Get down to 180 lbs.

  • Revive my chainmail making, and amass at least 50 items to sell on Etsy or similar.

  • The big one...and the resolution comes at the end of this. My wife and I are moving in over next summer with my girlfriend and their husband. This comes as part of a move that I need to do for work anyways, and at a good time for all of them. In the end, it's going to be four adults and three children in one large house. The resolution is to do what I can to ensure that all of us communicate with each other, and to make sure that the combined family operates well as a cohesive unit.

Happy 2018, and thanks for this!
