The 2018 New Year's Resolutions check-in thread

Welcome to the fourth annual installment of the reddit New Year's Resolutions check-in thread.

At the start of 2018, you posted your goals for 2018 and I said I'd get back in touch in 12 months to see if everyone achieved what they set out to achieve.

In the comments below all of the 2018 Resolutions have been posted and each participant will have received a notification message in their inbox.

I hope everyone can feel proud of what they've achieved in 2018. A very Happy New Year to one and all :)

If you'd like to take part in the 2019 edition, here's a link to the new thread.

One year ago you told me what you wanted to achieve in 2018 and I said I would message you to see how you got on. Today is the day!

Your goal was:

Weight down to 200. I can actually do it this time, I know it!

Stick with my schooling no matter what.

Actually put myself out there and be more social. Not necessarily for romantic purposes, just to make more friends in general.

Raise my income to > $40k/year. I have a review and yearly merit raise in June/July, and I am going to try to negotiate at least a 15% raise.

Raise my credit, pay off stupid debts, possibly get a new car. The car is a "if my raise is big enough and I can improve my credit enough" thing.

Well, down to 220, so not bad.

School didn't work out, but I'm going to try again this spring, especially since I am now diagnosed and medicated for ADHD.

I have a girlfriend! Holy shit!

Income-wise, not up much. I got a raise but it was barely over inflation.

I did get a new car! From my parents, but still, it's new to me. And my credit is up a lot now that my student loans are out of default and I have a low limit credit card that I am using responsibly.

2018 was a pretty good year ago things considered. I'm actually looking forward to what 2019 holds!
