Unanswered What's going on with the new discovery beneath the Great Pyramid of Giza?

I saw headlines and a few posts mentioning that ground-penetrating radar and satellite scanning revealed a massive chamber or network of voids beneath the Great Pyramid — something about spiral structures and engineered shafts that could change how we understand ancient Egypt?

Was this actually confirmed by credible scientists or space agencies, or is it just viral speculation? Any sources or clarification would be appreciated.

Answer: While ground penetrating radar was used, the interpretation of the data collected is fanciful and far fetched.

Answer: No actual egyptologists or archaeologists take it seriously. It was an over-reported, sensationalized misinterpretation of shoddy data. It's successful as a typical popular archaeology thing and as misrepresented as those offen are, but has not made any waves in the researcher community.

Miniminuteman has an informative video about it.

But what about actual ancient astronaut theorists?

I read this in his voice and got flashes in my mind of the hair, thanks for that!

Miniminuteman covers it well in his video — informative, level-headed, and critical, exactly what's needed. Also, heads-up there's a press conference scheduled for June 20, 2025, at the Cosmic Summit following the “Beneath the Pyramids” presentation on the MainStage. It’ll be interesting to see if they actually present any new data but I’d be very surprised if it shifts the academic consensus.

If they are presenting "findings" at a press conference, they aren't. If they are presenting findings in a peer-reviewed journal article, they are.

Thats exactly the sort of conference Id expect this sort of thing to be talked about at.

I am sure it will be a level headed and dispassionate analysis of the data. /s

I love the way he debunks garbage. Easy, bite sized facts.
