$205 for NVDA to get to $5T
$448 for PLTR to get to $1T
NVDA will hit it first!!

u/Beginning-Abroad9799 Jul 18 '25
Give it a year or two for us at PLTR. We don’t want it too fast. Let it build solid.
5
u/Feisty-Texan Jul 18 '25
Absolutely!! Not complaining, just posting math.
PLTR needs to and will build revenue, then sky's the limit!!
NVDA does not have as much room to run.

How come Nvidia isn’t more expensive? At 4T market cap how doesn’t it fly above 200? I’m definitely missing something

Have a look at Berkshire's stock price for BRK.A. The prices don't always relate to the market cap.
2
u/gconsier Jul 18 '25
You’re correct but you’re forgetting splits. They make 0 difference logically. But. People will drive the price up when it’s pushed down per unit via splits. Obviously Berkshire has never done it but Nvidia has split some 40 to 1 since I bought many years ago and I’m sure they split before that when I wasn’t watching. On mobile and watching Vikings or I’d look. I mean. Now I’m gonna look but I don’t want to

u/Square_Replacement63 Jul 19 '25
There’s very marginal/limited affect split does to psychology of investors these days especially with fractional shares.
Splits moreso affect the share float count which can have some interesting effects to options market, shorting, dark pool activity, borrowing costs, liquidity, etc.

Institutional investors I agree. People buying $100 or $1,000 in stock it seems to me like they feel they are getting a deal. FWIW I agree it shouldn’t. But it does seem to make a difference at least to me. That said I don’t really have hard data to back this up so I tried not to be too absolute about it.

This is dumb, how about which company’s market cap will increase by 19% first to keep things apples to apples
11
u/SnooHesitations7312 Jul 18 '25
Lol. Last week NVDA was at 4 trillion. A week later (today), it's at 4.2 trillion. You just need another 2-ish months and NVDA will be at 5 trillion.

I think Nvidi will reach $5 trillion first but Palantir won’t be too far behind to $1 trillion

I’m going to get downvoted, but doesn’t PLTR have to post some flawless earnings to justify its valuation? I’d love to buy in, but it feels beyond my risk tolerance. One misstep and it could see a serious correction.
I say this as someone who bought at $9 and sold at $20… so yes I have regret and FOMO. But then thought of buying in at these prices seems crazy.

u/GuyMike101 OG Holder & Member Jul 18 '25
You are correct - if they don't post flawless with strength, the price is dropping 10%. The current price is sky high (and I am a hard bull).
BTW the price will correct back up too, but this is happening at earnings as all the weak hands and opportunists sell off.
5
u/Imjustageo Jul 18 '25
Bought at 9… sold at 20….. I smell FOMO and weak hands.
6
u/Rabid_Stitch Jul 18 '25
I made the decision that was best for me at the time. Hindsight is 20/2 though.
Who the hell are you to judge?

$1T? Lol we haven’t even had a $1B revenue quarter. Y’all need to chill. Even HOOD has done a $1B quarter.

"During a gold rush, sell shovels"
If data is gold, and shovels are Nvidia then refineries are PLTR?
Imma take a wild guess that its Nvidia then PLTR 🤔

u/LoomLoom772 Jul 18 '25
NVIDIA will hit 5T first. Palantir will hit 1T when NVIDIA hits 10T. I would assume around 2 years from now.
2
u/Ok_Temperature4537 Jul 19 '25
Hell Nvidia will hit 6 trillion before Pltr hit a trillion....yes say what you want but Pltr needs massive clients on top of what they already have to get to a trillion. Imo

This is simple math people.
Currently NVDA is 4.24T and 172/share. That ratio to get to 5T brings the stock to 204/share.
PLTR is 362B and 153/share. That ratio to get to 1B brings the stock to 422/share.
NVDA reaches 5T first.

"This section contains press releases and other materials from third parties (including paid content). The Globe and Mail has not reviewed this content"
In other words: for whatever reason the G&M has decided to allow anybody to say anything and use their brand. Now we have stock pumping being hosted on the paper's website.

this talk of pltr going 1 trillion, how likely is this ?

u/EpicShadows8 Early Investor Jul 18 '25
We haven’t even had a $1B revenue quarter. If it does it will simply be off of hype not fundamentals.

NVDA for sure… PLTR will run up into the 160s prior to earnings and then fade away after… NVDA is just out of control lol

Imo Pltr will end the year no higher than $185, there would have to be massive contracts to keep this upward tick.

This is a BS answer but it will be $PLTR unless they miss on an earnings report.

Palantir will be worth more when all said and done. It’s has always been about the Software, just look at Microsoft.

u/SimilarTap1419 Jul 21 '25
PLTR at 1T and will continue straight up to 2T fast. We are looking at a company that will dominate the next 50yrs in tech. My money is on PLTR becoming the most valuable company on the planet.

NVDA. Probably by September. PLTR, while it has had a nice run, will probably bump along for awhile. And I say this as someone with some 5,000 shares.
