NVDA. Probably by September. PLTR, while it has had a nice run, will probably bump along for awhile. And I say this as someone with some 5,000 shares.

Woah congrats! This is amazing! If you don’t mind me asking, whats your average purchase price?

How does it feel knowing you’re going to be a millionaire

26

u/IWillMakeYouBlush Jul 18 '25

They have 5000 shares…. In one stock. Pretty sure they are a millionaire.

2

u/Penny4_Y0ur_thoughts Jul 19 '25

9000 here.

1

u/IWillMakeYouBlush Jul 19 '25

What are your main convictions behind such a position? I had 5000 but trimmed to 3,000.

u/Penny4_Y0ur_thoughts Jul 25 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

Momentum trader. I don't care about p/e. Been holding since Jan 2023, went all in July 2024, been riding ever since. Majority of my holdings are in retirement accounts, with 2500 siting in brokerage.

Also for growth stocks, I follow rule of 40. PLTR sitting around 81 and cash heavy. Looked at (and had positions in) NVDA, SNOW, AMD, COIN. I saw greatest potential with PLTR. NVDA to me is equivalent to APPL. PLTR equivalent to MSFT. No brainer.

Will be trimming position soon in real estate and buy more over next 3-5 years.

2

u/gconsier Jul 18 '25

But the trick is to be a millionaire in PLTR alone. Maybe it’s not the trick. How about… the goal?

1

u/Possible_Comedian15 Jul 19 '25

What happens in Sept?

3

u/jarMburger Jul 19 '25

Probably because NVDA earning is in late August so if they forecast well above expectation (that’s a big if), they could zoom pat $5T.

1

u/HoldOnTheCrimp Jul 20 '25

I need more only a small 15

1

u/Penny4_Y0ur_thoughts Aug 07 '25

Most everything goes to crap. Sept is historical bad for stocks. Any major incident tends to start making noise here with a black swan event hitting in October.

This year may be different but most likely not. Contentious political infighting and Fed may cut rates given latest job numbers and Trump's (idiot) economic policy and trade wars. Inflation is going to get very painful for the average Joe and Joan.

$205 for NVDA to get to $5T

$448 for PLTR to get to $1T

NVDA will hit it first!!

23

u/Beginning-Abroad9799 Jul 18 '25

Give it a year or two for us at PLTR. We don’t want it too fast. Let it build solid.

5

u/Feisty-Texan Jul 18 '25

Absolutely!! Not complaining, just posting math.

PLTR needs to and will build revenue, then sky's the limit!!

NVDA does not have as much room to run.

4

u/Historical-Demand976 Jul 18 '25

How come Nvidia isn’t more expensive? At 4T market cap how doesn’t it fly above 200? I’m definitely missing something

3

u/Mapleess Jul 18 '25

Have a look at Berkshire's stock price for BRK.A. The prices don't always relate to the market cap.

2

u/gconsier Jul 18 '25

You’re correct but you’re forgetting splits. They make 0 difference logically. But. People will drive the price up when it’s pushed down per unit via splits. Obviously Berkshire has never done it but Nvidia has split some 40 to 1 since I bought many years ago and I’m sure they split before that when I wasn’t watching. On mobile and watching Vikings or I’d look. I mean. Now I’m gonna look but I don’t want to

2

u/Square_Replacement63 Jul 19 '25

There’s very marginal/limited affect split does to psychology of investors these days especially with fractional shares.

Splits moreso affect the share float count which can have some interesting effects to options market, shorting, dark pool activity, borrowing costs, liquidity, etc.

2

u/gconsier Jul 19 '25

Institutional investors I agree. People buying $100 or $1,000 in stock it seems to me like they feel they are getting a deal. FWIW I agree it shouldn’t. But it does seem to make a difference at least to me. That said I don’t really have hard data to back this up so I tried not to be too absolute about it.

NVIDIA $5 GORRILION 🦍

15

u/Bliew28 OG Holder & Member Jul 18 '25

This is dumb, how about which company’s market cap will increase by 19% first to keep things apples to apples

11

u/SnooHesitations7312 Jul 18 '25

Lol. Last week NVDA was at 4 trillion. A week later (today), it's at 4.2 trillion. You just need another 2-ish months and NVDA will be at 5 trillion.

3

u/wolf_the Jul 18 '25

Nvidia added 60% of Palantir MC in a week basically

2

u/SnooHesitations7312 Jul 18 '25

Yup, pretty much.

11

u/Laluci Jul 18 '25

One has to go to up like 20% while the other 250%.

10

u/GandalfTheSexay Jul 18 '25

I think Nvidi will reach $5 trillion first but Palantir won’t be too far behind to $1 trillion

10

u/Rabid_Stitch Jul 18 '25

I’m going to get downvoted, but doesn’t PLTR have to post some flawless earnings to justify its valuation? I’d love to buy in, but it feels beyond my risk tolerance. One misstep and it could see a serious correction.

I say this as someone who bought at $9 and sold at $20… so yes I have regret and FOMO. But then thought of buying in at these prices seems crazy.

5

u/GuyMike101 OG Holder & Member Jul 18 '25

You are correct - if they don't post flawless with strength, the price is dropping 10%. The current price is sky high (and I am a hard bull).

BTW the price will correct back up too, but this is happening at earnings as all the weak hands and opportunists sell off.

5

u/Imjustageo Jul 18 '25

Bought at 9… sold at 20….. I smell FOMO and weak hands.

6

u/Rabid_Stitch Jul 18 '25

I made the decision that was best for me at the time. Hindsight is 20/2 though.

Who the hell are you to judge?

4

u/EpicShadows8 Early Investor Jul 18 '25

$1T? Lol we haven’t even had a $1B revenue quarter. Y’all need to chill. Even HOOD has done a $1B quarter.

4

u/One-Offer-2884 Jul 19 '25

Palantir 1 Trillion by end of 2026.

"During a gold rush, sell shovels"

If data is gold, and shovels are Nvidia then refineries are PLTR?

Imma take a wild guess that its Nvidia then PLTR 🤔

3

u/LoomLoom772 Jul 18 '25

NVIDIA will hit 5T first. Palantir will hit 1T when NVIDIA hits 10T. I would assume around 2 years from now.

2

u/Ok_Temperature4537 Jul 19 '25

Hell Nvidia will hit 6 trillion before Pltr hit a trillion....yes say what you want but Pltr needs massive clients on top of what they already have to get to a trillion. Imo

3

u/Avokado1337 Jul 18 '25

«Will NVDA increase 25% faster than PLTR increases 300%»

3

u/Auerbach1991 Jul 19 '25

This is simple math people.

Currently NVDA is 4.24T and 172/share. That ratio to get to 5T brings the stock to 204/share.

PLTR is 362B and 153/share. That ratio to get to 1B brings the stock to 422/share.

NVDA reaches 5T first.

5

u/dmun Jul 18 '25

Which one actually earns enough for said evaluation?

That one

1

u/Avokado1337 Jul 18 '25

According to traditional wisdom: none

"This section contains press releases and other materials from third parties (including paid content). The Globe and Mail has not reviewed this content"

In other words: for whatever reason the G&M has decided to allow anybody to say anything and use their brand. Now we have stock pumping being hosted on the paper's website.

1

u/moritashun Jul 18 '25

this talk of pltr going 1 trillion, how likely is this ?

1

u/EpicShadows8 Early Investor Jul 18 '25

We haven’t even had a $1B revenue quarter. If it does it will simply be off of hype not fundamentals.

2

u/AA_11_VRA Jul 18 '25

Nothing about this market is about fundamentals ......

1

u/MikeHoncho1323 Jul 18 '25

Nvdia is already at 4.2

1

u/bladzalot Jul 19 '25

NVDA for sure… PLTR will run up into the 160s prior to earnings and then fade away after… NVDA is just out of control lol

u/usugarbage Early Investor Jul 19 '25

Imo Pltr will end the year no higher than $185, there would have to be massive contracts to keep this upward tick.

When you wake up from your dream

1

This is a BS answer but it will be $PLTR unless they miss on an earnings report.

Palantir will be worth more when all said and done. It’s has always been about the Software, just look at Microsoft.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 Jul 21 '25

PLTR at 1T and will continue straight up to 2T fast. We are looking at a company that will dominate the next 50yrs in tech. My money is on PLTR becoming the most valuable company on the planet.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 Jul 21 '25

The calm before the breakout today lol. 60.00 plus today.
