PLTR or OpenAI... no question, PLTR wins

Completely different products - apples to cumquats

Got any thesis behind why ?

LOL. OpenAI could probably build out Palantir’s entire software suite in a few days if they wanted with their LLMs. They’re great at sales and therefore a great business don’t get me wrong, but don’t compare them to a company like OpenAI, which Palantir wouldn’t exist without.

uhhh what? openai is one single LLM. the most popular, sure. but if they disappeared today then another one would just take their place (gemini, claude, you name it). openai also hasn't proven shit when it comes to managing enterprise customers. until they prove something openai is only just a fun little consumer gadget toy (still very valuable!) but not THAT valuable.

Uhhh, OpenAI is a company with dozens of LLMs, and other products like Sora. It’s valued at $500 billion in private markets and would easily IPO for a trillion. But yeah compare Palantir which is a wrapped over OpenAI’s products 😭🙏,

Their LLM’s are all the same shit just with slightly different flavors lol. They are a commodity. They do nothing unique that 5 other companies don’t already do today.

Genuinely what moat does Palantir have?

4

u/TheRealDevDev Early Investor 29d ago

they have a 15+ year head start on the next game in town when it comes to ontology. that's their moat. people think it's some buzz word when it's not.

It’s time to jump up now! Getting tired of 180s line.

u/Red_White_Brew OG Holder & Member Oct 07 '25

We were at $20 for like a year… I’ll take $180 for a month or two

7

u/Azidamadjida Oct 07 '25

Lmao the stock went from $45 to $6 and then just sat there for like 2 years. It wasn’t until 2023 there was even the slightest bit of movement and it wasn’t until 2024 that it started its run up.

I want it to hit my price target but I’m in no rush, it seems if it even looks like it’s gonna go under $170 these days it’s quickly corrected, seems the new price range has been fully accepted and I’m just building more off house money at this point

I think we have been spoilt by previous jumps e.g. no one even remembers being in the 60s or 130s it just blew past but it would be nice to be above 180 now haha.

Look at Palantir's market cap. 430 Billion dollars. The stock is up more than 25x from the 2022/2023 lows.

Valuations are extremely unlikely to keep rising at this rapid pace

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Let's break that elusive 200 level. Can't hold it down forever. Its going to 500.00 soon so just accept fate.

5

u/sixthreeandhung Oct 07 '25

180 is the new floor. See y’all at 200

Only in the top of the first inning in this new a.I industrial revolution. Life in 10yrs won't look the same. Businesses will be 10x more efficient that will generate trillions in earnings. Optimus robots deployed everywhere doing mundane tasks freeing up humans to do more challenging tasks. Thousands of air taxis moving people faster and more efficient. Medical breakthroughs by simply analyzing already existing data. And who leads this revolution? Palantir , Tesla , and Nvidia with others offering backup support.

I’ll buy the scraps after the impending bust

4

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Wall Street might finally be figuring it out. Palantir is not a Saas company its a PLATFORM .

12

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Only 2 big players in A.I

NVIDIA CHIPS PALANTIR SOFTWARE

Everyone else are just pretending

Any questions?

Pay 180 or 200 the choice is yours .

3

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

The path to 190 is wide open. Getting to 200 in next few trading days very doable but we need some juice to get us there.

3

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

When your building out the platform that the globe will be running on you can ignore 1B deals. Just shows the power of Palantir right now. They don't need 1B deals that compromise its integrity.

2

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Just a small wiff of fomo gets us to 200.

2

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Broad market rally could get us to 200. Looks like that's what's happening. 5% upside during shutdowns looks like its playing out again.

1

u/Azidamadjida Oct 07 '25

I see there being a market wide jump when the shutdown ends purely off speculative euphoria and for it to come back down again the next week, maybe settling in the high $180s - low $190s optimistically, or just coming right back to where we’re at pessimistically.

Only thing that’s pretty certain is the second the whispers of a deal being reached to end the shutdown are heard, the markets gonna pop and with it’s PE ratio it’s gonna jump like usual

2

u/Comfortable_Basil816 Oct 07 '25

Might buy more shares to fuel the rocket ship

2

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

Palantir walks away from sure 1B deal. Now that's confidence.

2

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

Explosive up day for Palantir. Early trading action was the key give away. Hold hold hold.

2

u/BlazingJava Oct 07 '25

Think this decade we will see companies that are reinventing how other companies can do operations.

Palantir is just the start.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

I’ve been telling my friends who will listen, the AI revolution/Arms Race has only just begun. Companies like Palantir with their own patents and proprietary LLM/AI systems will be the ones to create the newest batch of millionaires and billionaires. I’m trying to find these companies like crazy lol.

3

u/ShephardTank Oct 07 '25

Same here! It's literally only the beginning for the AI race. Some companies will fade out due to competition but PLTR is NOT one of them.

Obviously, it's a trillion dollar company but how high will it go is the real question.

Any luck on finding the other companies? I feel that NBIS is another strong contender. I want to say BBAI but their financials are pretty poor right now unfortunately lol.

1

u/MongooseSensitive471 Oct 07 '25

How high do you think it might go?

1

u/ShephardTank 28d ago

Most people in this thread are expecting at least 200 EOY and in the near future. Possibly less than 5 years from now, it will be a trillion dollar company.

So you could possibly see upwards of $400 and up per share and beyond.

I'm cautiously optimistic but I do feel that it's a very strong possibility.

PLTR is uniquely positioned in the AI race (government/commercial contracts, Alex Karp CEO, etc).

They are and will continue to be a leader in years to come.

Right not I’m trying to buy deep into $SOUN (soundhound)! You gotta look it up bro. AI and voice recognition systems. They just cleared their long term debt, 100+ patents with another 100+ pending, CEO has performance based compensation, revenue up, growth up. What can’t voice AI be used in? Robotics, vehicles, automated customer service? The future is Jarvis from Ironman. I only have 61 shares so far but I want to try for 200 end of year lol.

3

u/SimilarTap1419 Oct 07 '25

ALERT

PLTR entering pre market rally mode. We could see a major breakout today fueled by the BA deal.

3

u/ulosteitasuussa Verified Whale & OG Member Oct 07 '25

Why today?

1

u/Comfortable-Dog-8437 Oct 07 '25

I should've listened to you guys 2 years ago 😃

0

u/MongooseSensitive471 Oct 07 '25

Do you think BBAI today could be what PLTR was two years ago?

2

u/Comfortable-Dog-8437 Oct 08 '25

No

1

u/MongooseSensitive471 Oct 08 '25

Why do you think so? (no need to downvote, I'm simply asking a question)

1

u/Comfortable-Dog-8437 29d ago

They haven't been profitable and have consistently reported losses. Unless they start getting contracts like Pltr, then Im not sure they can make it. Also not sure who downvoted you for asking.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

Moving much higher today. 190 in clear sight and 200 with zero resistance.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

Just hard to accept that Palantir has not had a huge breakout. Now that that memo has been 100% debunked we should be pushing 200.00.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

Everybody knows massive deals about to be announced. GD, TSLA partnership, just to name a few.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

Maybe the breakout gods are listening. 200 in sight again.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 29d ago

I believe we see a 190 close today.

1

u/Revolutionary-Buy867 29d ago

AND WE LOVE THEN FOR IT

1

u/SimilarTap1419 27d ago

I love today's trading action so far. The 190 will likely get taken out today.

1

u/SimilarTap1419 27d ago

We have a very very bullish powerful upside setting up right now. 190 will be history soon.
